Strategic Decisions Part 2

JP with Winteroak and Cindy

Sister Locust thought for a moment, something about the idea of splitting up the Horde did not sit well with her.

She knew Helians could be sneaky enough to bring the fight to the Horde before they ever got to Ostiarium. Splitting meant less numbers if that happened.

"What of Desdem? Will the Horde be able to go through there without problems? Do they people there side with us?" It didn't matter so much where the people had there loyalties in the past, it mattered where they lay now.

It was Agizul who spoke first.
"With the defeat of the Odsier a few months back their Winter Pastures stand empty. There is no power that could oppose our passing in the south."

"And we will likely find more game to supplement our supplies." Said an older man that Islana could not remember his name.

There was a long pause as the Sister conferred with the wisdom inside of her. It seemed as if both Islana and those that internally guided her were in agreement.

"We will go by way of Desdem then. Keeping the Horde together." It seemed to make the most sense. "Does anyone have anything to add or discuss further?"

The men around the pavillion looked at one another nodding their agreement with the strategy before moving on.

"We have been observing the city for a while but it would be helpful you can share anything you might feel it's important. We might have the numbers and the blessings of the Twins on our side, but we mustn't forget they defeated the Odsier easily on the Plains..." Cautioned Izdärasen.

What insight could she lend?

"The Helians are raised to believe magik and any beliefs other than worship to Pilliars to be evil. Worthy of death. They are fighters. Do not underestimate any of them. Many will fight to their death to protect their city, their beliefs and their way of life.

The Odsier were caught off guard. We can never be off our guard. The Helians can be sneaky, the Inquisition the worst of it. Do not expect anything to go as planned when it comes to them.

We also have magik on our side. That is something the Inquisition and Helians will not bring themselves to take advantage of."

There had to be other things she could impart.

"I believe there to possibly be some Helians that would fight with us. There is a possibility of other magik users who have remained hidden. People like that would most likely not think highly of the Inquisition.

I was not part of the military there, I can only guess at their strategy. I can say they likely already know we are on our way. They might station a number troops outside the wall. The troops are already likely lining the streets. The best defense against the Helians is to be prepared for anything from them."

Islana was unclear if her words had given any new insight to the Helians. "Were there any specific questions regarding the Helians or the Inquisition you would like answered?"
