Thoughts

Timestamp: Sadir residence- Night time

“Staying in the guest room would be lovely,” he said.
The attack worried him. He had been attacked for reasons mostly of his own schemes.
Those he could accept this attack came when he was doing the right thing according to everyone. He smiled thinking about the fact he won that fight.

The guest room as nice and there was a hot bath already drawn. A night shirt lay on the bed and soft towels on the chair. Oh, how he missed soft towels.
It did not take long for the young noble to slip into the tub. He soaked while flipping and spinning one of his throwing knives he normally wore strapped to his arm.

He poured a little brandy into a glass from the crystal decanter and thought to himself, “Well played Master Sadir!” Till he started to think about all the times that Elizabeth had come by the office to drop thing off or bring lunch to her father who was not there at the time. Her dresses had gone from the local plain fashion to more of towards the style of fancy dresses from back home. Her hair style had changed as well. Wim sighed finally putting some pieces together. They both wanted this marriage. Wim wondered how to tell her that she was even beautiful was tending the gardens in her plain dress and hair was down. She would even look good in the night shirt. He stopped his thinking there as it would not take much for the alcohol to get him to use his noble rights and take her.

He thought hard, “How would he train her to be a noblewoman? That was also a part of this courtship. Being a noble was like being in chains, there are rules and expectations placed on you. People are mean and want things from you and you have to play nice and you cannot always say what you think. On the other hand, it is just who you are. When I am hauling grain I am still a noble and my father and brother help with calving and haying time. “

He sighed. He wished Elizabeth would just come and sit on the bed and talk this all out. He hated the rules.

He exited the tub, dried off and climbed into the bed, knives under the pillow. He lift the candles lit so the maid could do her work.
