Look again

<snip> "Oh no!  What is it?" Chrizla asked, Jessie's
bottom lip started to tremble so Chrizla embraced her.  Jessie began
to cry into his shoulder, "What's the matter Jessie?  Is it
something I did?"
The whole ship shuddered and groaned as the wormhole drive was
activated, then they could smell burning and guessed that the drive
had failed.  "I'm still waiting, Jessie..." <end

Who: Jessie and Chrizla
Where: Landing bay 1, corridor between bays
When: Just after the semi-successful wormhole jump.
"My ship's gone," she said in stunned disbelief.
"What?" "My ship. I parked it and now it's not here and
all I've got is one gun that's not mine and a laser with no power left
and the Space Corp are still -" Jessie was starting to get
hysterical, so Chrizla, expecting a swift retribution, slapped her in the
face.
The anticipated injuries did not occur. Instead, surprisingly, Jessie
actually started to calm down. When he judged that she'd cooled off
enough to be coherent, Chrizla asked her one question. "Which
landing bay did you park your ship in?"
"Landing bay three." she responded automatically. Crizla
smiled, gently. "How about we go look there, instead?"
Jessie, still partially in shock, obediently followed him out, but
stopped suddenly, halfway down the corridor, a strange look on her face.
"If we're going to bay three now, then -" she paused, as
if she wasn't certain she wanted to know the answer, but continued
anyway. " - which one were we just in?"
Chrizla told her. She stared at him for a moment, then fainted.
