Trouble ring

<snip> Inside the Wyvern, Jessie heard him hit the floor and went to see what happened. Seeing him lying in the airlock, she climbed outside. The first person she saw was Guinevere Winters, who she'd been meaning to talk to about some long-overdue repairs. The second person she saw was... Herself. <end snip>   Beta Jessie looked up at the person who'd just stepped out of the Wyvern. She seemed vaguely familiar, but that took secondary importance to something else she'd just noticed. Something which left her momentarily speechless with rage, the like of which she'd only felt once before.   Alpha Jessie was shocked by the speed at which the gun appeared in her other self's hand. I didn't realise I was that fast, she thought. "That's mine." Said the other girl, in tones so poisonous that at first Jessie didn't believe she'd said it. "What?"
Jessie was confused. Surely she would have recognised her by now! "Give me my ring." Startled by the menace in the other's voice, Jessie glanced down at her hand. Nick's engagement ring winked back at her. "Oh. er... uh-oh."   <tag>
