RE: [JMC_Blue_Dwarf] Avalanche!

Who:- Jay, Katrina
Where:- The mountains of New Russia
When:- After the group were "Seprerated" as Joel put it!

The cascading snow caught up to Jay as he ran for cover, sweeping his legs out from beneath him. It carried him along the mountain side rolling him over and over.
Up ahead he could see a figure, he couldn't identify who, through the thick snow, but presumed it was a dwarfer, the figure suddenly disappeared and Jay realised the cliff edge must be up ahead, and found himself at the same spot in an instant, he grabbed a tree root by pure luck with his left hand, and with his right hand, fired the climbing rope over the edge, catching the person who had just been swept over the edge. The snow carried on, over the edge. Jay fought to hold on both to the tree root, and the crew member beneath him, feeling as though the sheer momentum of the avalanche was going to tear his arms from their sockets.
A few minutes passed, and the snow stopped falling. Jay found himself buried under a few feet of snow, loose enough so he could breathe, but tight compact enough so that he couldnt easily get up, as letting go of the rope or tree root to free up his hands to dig would have sent the either him, or his cargo over the edge.  Jay began to ponder this dillema when his right arm felt movement, whoever it was was climbing the rope.
"Well.." he thought "That save's me some time..."
A minute or two later he felt a pair of hands digging into the snow. He stood, pushing the snow off his back, and looking to see who it was he had saved from certain death.
"Thanks" said Katrina, "Thought I was a goner there"
"Where's everyone else?" Jay asked, looking back up the mountain. The snow had swept them miles.
"Question is..." Katrina replied "Where are we?"
Jay pulled out his portable navi-comp.
"Smeg...it's busted..." he muttered, the LCD screen was smashed, the computer useless, same went for his radio, he tossed then aside and looked up at Katrina. "I need to get a bearing..., then I can map our way back"
With that, he climbed to the top of a nearby tree.
"What do you see?" Katrina asked.
"Nothing..." came Jay's reply "Snow's too thick, and getting heavier, looks like that Blizzard Yuri was talking about is still coming..."
He climbed back down.
"All I remember, is we landed to the east of the mountain range, on the other side of the forest....the forest is a few miles from here...East being..." he mused for a second, "That direction"
"The direction the wind is coming from...."
"Sadly, yes....we better get moving, if we can reach the outskirts of the forest by the time the Blizzard kicks in, at least we'll have SOME shelter...."

<tag...don;t get us back to base yet.....Joe, you know the plan>Who: Team PhoenixWhere: Very remote sibearen mountainsWhen: After last postJoe still couldn't believe how close to death he had been. He felt fear gripping his mind and saw that same vision from earlier, of a young boy stepping off a tall building but this time, a shadowey, sinister looking figure swooped down to claw the boys life out. An angel of death. Suddenly there was a loud bang and the vision faded and Joe saw thousands of tons of rock hurtling straight for him, rolling down the mountain. He jumped forewards and missed the avalanche by a hares bredth. He picked himself up. Joe heard Jay say "That was the bounty hunters! They saw us and set off that avalanche with some explosives." The snow was piling onto at full force, the cold felt like daggers, even with the thick coats and Joe wasn't able to see Jay and the others at all. Joe took a step forward then hastally drew it back in as he felt midair. He felt along the ledge untill he got to what seemed to be a big hill. Joe rested for amoment and couldn't see or hear anything of the others, he was lost. He kept feeling along until he came to some kind of plateu. He tripped over something. He bent down and rubbed the snow away. It was a sign. "The New Russia History Mueseam of Nuclear Warfare and Old Russia". Joe felt along and found some kind of manmade structure with walls and a button. He pressed it and walked inside. The door shut behind and the lights came on. He took his hood down, blinking, finally being able to see. The mueaseam offered shelter and mabye a way to contact the others. He was staying. HE walked a long and came to an exhibit "Here is a lovingly restored Nuclear Bomb shelter, fully stocked and able to survive a primatave thermo-nuclear warhead. Of course it would not survive a modern day one!" came a computers voice through a mounted speaker. Joe was intrested by the 100 year old food. "Haha, an MP3 player! How ancient!" Joe put the MP3 down and realised he had to find a way of contacting the others.<tag anyone, weve all been seprerated, so do your own thing for a little bit>
