Seymour & Rosette - "A Thornless Rose?"

who: seymour and rosette
where & when: continuation of previous post.
Seymour banged away on the grand piano, and very grand it was too.
Unfortunately, Seymour had forgotten to keep with the proper tempo of
the song, and was purely attempting to annoy Rosette.
Unfortunately for him, she wasn't having any of it.
"You know, if you use the tip of your fingers, you can keep up the
tempo all the way through..." she said, moving to the keys. She sat
on the stool next to Seymour, and pushed him along so she could sit
in the middle. She picked up the book of sheet music that Seymour
had been playing, and flicked through it until she got to something
she knew how to play.
"You're not using your feet right either, you don't need to stamp on
the pedals... I'd expect that from a child, but not a man who calls
himself high class." she said,
This surprised Seymour, all he could do was sit there next to her,
and watch as she stretched her fingers, and tested a few keys.
"y... you....you..." he began, but couldn't get his words out, so
Rosette finished for him. "can play the piano? yes." she said,
smiling. This annoyed Seymour even more, because he wanted to annoy
her, but it seemed that his effort in playing the Piano with
excessive volume was pointless.
She touched the keys softly, and began to play, sliding her fingers
across the piano with a grace she usually saved for running away from
the police at home. She closed her eyes, and fell into the song,
speedingup to hit the tempo perfectly. Seymour could only look on in
horror and awe...
Maybe he'd even see through her rough exterior, but Seymour had
barely noticed that she put effort into pronouncing capitalised
letters at the beginning of names.
When finally she finished, she stopped slowly, and opened her
eyes. "wow.. i love this piano..." she said, "but the C sharp is
slightly off." she added, smiling.
Seymour looked at her, eyes wide, jaw dropped. "b... but.... but
you....... what just happened?" he asked. "That was fantastic!" he
said, but still was unable to move from his spot.
Rosette smiled at him, and sighed. "i haven't had a piano to play on
for years... not since dad forced us onto the streets..." she said,
revealing a part of her past that she'd rather not remember. She
preferred the danger, and the excitement of stealing for her life,
but deep down, she was still well brought up.
Seymour took his turn next, and pushed Rosette back along the piano
chair, and began to play something a bit softer, Rosettes eyes
opened, and her fingers jumped to the keys, playing the higher notes
of the song, leaving seymour to play the lower keys. They played for
minutes together, almost perfectly in sync, until their hands
collided in the middle of the piano. Rosette blushed, and turned
away, her heart beating faster.
<tag! come on, you can't say thats not a surprise! this is really
fun, thanks onion for the ideas :) maybe this could even go further,
seymour seems like fun to play with lol. i should be online tonight
to talk about the possibilities, if you're around :)>
