Andy, Kara - 'Grand theft flagship'

Who: Andy, Kara
Where: Starship Axolotl
When: 3 seconds after the previous post

The Janitor stared at the girl then down at the penguin. His eyes
scanned over the edges of the room, every turret trained upon him. A
look of acknowledgement crossed his face.
Grabbing Master Tux by his beak, he swang the small bird above his
head then pegged it as far as he could across the room.
Kara stared at him as though he'd grown two heads. "In what part of
that talk did I say 'ditch your only hostage across the f#&$ing room'?!"

Had Kara's teeth not been a hypothetical stimulation of light she'd
long since had broken them all in half from the sheer frustration and
fury of her predicament. Not to mention her partner was less than
satisfactory.
The penguin's stubby little fins assisted it as it wobbled its way to
a standing position. Master Tux gave what could approximate to a glare
before precisely giving a final statement. "However foolish t'was to
give the humes this power, I see now that my gambit hath been for
naught. May their bones be used as paving for the glorious road to
equality."
Ensign scuffles nodded. "Kill them."
Andy reeled back, clenching his teeth but he still refused to flee.
"Kara, get behind me." Once again it slipped his mind that the woman
in question was invincible.
That was it. She could take it anymore. With a light shove she pushed
past the janitor
"Just smeg it Andy, I'll handle this."
The scot's hand slid into her coat. "Andy, this'll buy you roughly an
hour to do whatever you can." She paused then looked back. Her face
began to slowly turn red. "When this happens... well... I won't be
myself. Be ready for anything."
The janitor blinked rapidly before taking a few confused steps
forward. "Kara? I don't-."
With a single motion the pilot's hand snapped back and grabbed the
hacker by the wrist. Her left swept one of his legs out from under him
before shoving him behind a nearby terminal.
However, Kara's other hand seized the hidden grenade in her coat and
flung it out towards the middle of the room.
With a bright yellow flash of light and the accompanying shimmer of
chaff, the Scrambler grenade let lose its payload.
Then all hell broke loose.
The scream of laser fire roared overhead while the Krylon turrets
swivelled and pivoted like spot lights in a French night club.
Clouds of grey smoke billowed up into the air while any part of the
ship struck exploded into shrapnel.
Almost to complete the effect the screams of random occupants echoed
though Andy's head while his arms wrapped over his head.
"Oh my god!" A feminine voice shrieked. The janitor exposed the
smallest possible part of his head to see what the hell was going on.
Kara, the former 'invincible woman' was now running around in circles,
dodging laser fire and kicking anything that got close.
Andy may have wanted to help before but no way in hell was he going to
waste his life on senseless bravado.
"Okay, okay... get a grip. Lasers going everywhere. Kara's gone crazy.
What can *I* do?" Andy went over the previous five years of his life.
Well, being a Janitor/Hacker. He could either clean up the mess the
turrets where making or he could hack the shit out of the main computer.
He picked the one that didn't involve him being shot to death.
Over to his right the janitor spotted a panel. With a quick wave of
his hand a turret laser quickly replace it and blasted open the plate.
Using the Masterkey, he made a quick jab before pulling it back.
Hopefully he'd be out of any of the gun's firing notice.
It was easy as piss.
Clearly the Krylons, being autonomous creations, didn't foresee that
one of their own would attempt to hack into their system. Let alone an
experimental one. Once again the small pen-like diamond brushed aside
any resistance that put up. Within a minute Andy had control of the
ship's brain.
He now had an entire Krylon Flagship by the balls.
First off, Andy blocked out all in-going traffic and ejected any areas
with heavy Krylon population.
Second, he let loose with all weapons on the ship. Being an autonomous
ship it didn't make sense for it to need gunners. Anything that moved
was targeted.
Third, he activated the Bridge's defences. Whatever the hell that was.
A low blubbing noise issued from the wall closest to Andy. A second
later and a massive wave-like curtain of blue light shot up from the
edges of the inner-most part of the bridge. Other than Kara's frantic
screams the bridge was utterly silent. The turrets on the outside
still twisted like a drunken roadie and shot any Krylon that came to
investigate.
"Uhhh... Kara...?" Andy ventured slowly, rasing up from his hiding spot.
"AHHH!!!" The woman immediately shrieked then ducked behind a
shelled-out terminal "DON'T KILL ME!!" She howled out from the 2
foot-high metal wall.
"Kara... it's okay. The danger is over... for now." The Janitor
reassured while he moved forward. What the hell happened?
She pulled up from her 'hiding' place with a look of savaging dignity.
"Well... erm... of course. I was just. You know, looking for cover. In
case of, ahhh, counter attack! Yes, that's it."
Andy blinked rapidly. Cover? Why the hell would she need cover?
He shook his head and sighed. "Okay, now. It's time for us to get the
hell out of here. Can you think of a way out."
Kara shook her head so fast that her own hair slapped her in the face.
"Nonononono! I'm NOT going out there! Those turrets'll kill us!"
"Uh... those turrets will kill *ME*. You're hardlight." The Australian
replied in exasperation. "It still hurts!" She protested in a
high-pitched voice. Andy threw his arms up into the air. "Oh forget it."
The janitor turned and rose his hand to his chin. He began to brood,
thinking over his options. Then it just hit him.
"Hey Kara... have you ever flow a capital ship before?"
<Tagging Kara!>
OOC: Would you be so kind as to take us to a certain mollopod planet
for aerial assistance?
