Re: a cat, a monster, and a lot of booze

instinct took over and he ran away, but to late. the spider stabbed
him through the leg with one of it's own really sharp legs. it lowered
down ready to rip him to shreds when suddenly...
</snip>
The giant black widow spider leaned in, an acidic saliva poured over
the leg, causing even more pain than the hole that had been created
by one of the sharp spider legs. Jay screamed in pain, trying to
crawl away from what he assumed to be his last moments.
As if someone heard his screams, the spider flung itself at the wall,
and screeched something in an unknown language. The spiders clawed
hands held its head, almost thrashing about the corridor.
All this time, Jay had been crawling away, and managed to make it to
the lift at the end of the hall, he winced in pain as he dragged his
wounded leg over the threshold, and called out to Holly "Whatever
deck the medibay is on!" The spider heard his call and regained
composure, charging the lift as the door began to close. Jay watched
in horror, hoping the door would close in time...
He sighed a huge sigh of relief as the door did manage to close, and
the lift began to move, unfortunately for him, the sharp spiders leg
pierced through the slight gap in the doors, and almost pierced his
face. As it retracted, the lift fell below the level of the door,
and he was safe...
Meanwhile, the spider turned and headed for the ventilation system
again, this time heading for Engineering...
<tag people... if you're in engineering, please, go ahead and try to
fight the beast away... She's not after blood, so don't think you
have to mutilate yourself! Please don't hurt it either though...>
