Rosette - "Eyes on the Bug" Continued

<snip>
"I'll take the first 'supervision' shift" muttered Chris, the crowd of senior
officers dispersing, as he pulled his gun out of its holster, just before there
was a loud noise from down the corridor.
"Change of plan, you're on your own Bob!" shouted Chris to the ensign as he
turned to see what was going on along the corridor.
"My name's John" said the ensign angrily under his breath.
</snip>
John stood near to Rosette, who was still shivering against a stone pillar.
John held his gun, pointed directly at her. He had no idea why he was doing
this, he had been in another cell, and only saw the bug, and then the bug
disappeared.
---------------------
"A deal you say?" The bug asked. one of its long, spiny legs scratched what
could only be classified as its chin as it thought over the proposition.
"Are you saying that you want me to let you take control, and you'll just give
me some time to be myself?" It asked, making sure that it had heard properly.
"Of course. If we get to a new planet, i can let you run free, and not bother
you at all... Assuming you don't hurt any people..." She added, feeling the need
to clarify rules, even though the bug could read her thoughts.
"I suppose... that's acceptable, we have been at a bit of a stalemate since you
found out about me..." It said, accepting. It extended a leg, which Rosette
shook.
"Excellent." She said, returning her senses to the real world.
---------------------
"Why are you pointing a gun at me?" Rosette asked, looking up at the guard. She
had a faint insectoid look about her... Her eyes had changed, and had gained the
black sheen that the spider had.
She shivered very slightly, the guard didn't notice the movement, nor did he
notice that a single spider leg had started to appear under the back of her
shirt, working its way down, and out... It curled around the back of the pillar,
and grabbed his leg.
The weapon fired, sending the bullet straight past her, into the wall at the
other end of the room. Her spider-leg pulled hard, and sent him flat on his
back, knocking him out cold as his head hit the concrete floor.
"Sorry about that..." She said. Luckily, the gunshot had been at the same time
as another loud noise out in the corridor, so Rosette hadn't been noticed. She
stepped around to the other side of the pillar, and left her clothes on the
floor as she transformed again, this time taking on a more... human
intelligence.
"let the party commence." She screamed, the Hymenopterran language flooded the
room.
"oh.. smeg..." Chris said, hearing the screeches. He glanced over, and saw John
lying on the floor. He assumed the worst... but couldn't do anything about it
right now, since the Mollopods were launching an offensive.
Rosette walked out casually, heading for the door. She gently moved the crew
that were blocking her path with her legs, and made for Jay.
"Jay!" She tried to say. but could only speak in Hymenopterran. Amber was
luckily nearby, and stepped in.
"Amber! i've done it. I can help!" Rosette said. Amber understood it all, and
translated for Jay.
"Chris, we need a defensive line, we have reinforcements!" Jay called. Several
of the Mollopods were of course confused. How could they get reinforcements
from within a prison? Unfortunately, they weren't to know, as their heads fell
to the floor. Their mistake had been to not watch the walls, or the ceiling....
"MOVE OUT!" Chris shouted. The machine gun post further up was down, giving
everyone a perfect chance to escape into the sunlight.
<tag people! Fear not, the bug is on our side now!>
