*Actionette* I love it when a plan comes together.

"Or..." Cass continued, scowling at Seymour "We could just return to LittleCheftonia, and see how far the Molopods hospitality extends at the behest oftheir new queen - We could just wait around in luxury while a tactical JMC ITsupport squad comes out to see to their hardware; there would be less chance ofdeath and destruction all around, but it won't look so good on your recordCaptain"Here she stopped talking and stared directly up into the camera"So, what do you think?"
<end snip>

Jay pondered for a second.
“Cass” he said eventually “You just earned yourself a huge tip next time I’m in….OW!”
Katrina had once again smacked him, cutting him off mid-sentence.
“..you made me bite my tongue..!” could be heard across the monitors. Katrina's response was incomprehensible over the speakers, but it didn't sound very polite, and didn't give the impression of sympathy. Jay turned back to face the camera.
“Cassandra’s right. We DO need to disable the sensors in order to get anyone aboard, trouble is, whatever we do will only take them down for a short time before Holly’s backup’s come online, so we need to be quick.”
He looked at the windows on screen that displayed Rosette and Mk.10. “That’s where you two come in. We won’t have time to dock with the Dwarf, or for an entire away team to board – even if we did we may still have to get past Holly’s internal defences, and I fancy the chances of a ‘bug who managed to elude us for months and a droid who know’s the ships security system inside out more than I do a platoon. So Rosette, you got your chance.”
"MISTER CHRYSLER I MUST PROTEST!" Came a squeal from Seymours direction, until he was silenced by a smack across the back of the head by Jay.
“Thank you sir.”
“However…” he continued “As we don’t know what’s going to be required, someone needs to have full, unrestricted system access, so Mk.10, I’m going to give you all my access codes. Providing Holly’s not gone completely insane, they should still count for something, with the added bonus that you can wipe them from your hard drive afterwards.”
“What about the luck ointment?” Keto asked.
“I still want you to produce it. Mk.10, you’ll carry in your storage compartment, secured, to be released ONLY if something happens to you and you can’t complete your mission – that should enable La Chance to continue as a last resort. No offence Rosette, but I’m not too keen on the idea of allowing the bug access to all our systems, even indirectly. One look at our intelligence files and it could be all over…”
“I understand.” Rosette said, a little half-heartedly.
“You’ll need someone to pilot a shuttle inside the ship’s sensor grid” Jay continued “They'll need to be fast, as they'll only have a small window to get in, drop the two of you off and get out, without docking..."
"If we can't dock.." said Rosette, "How do we get on the ship?"
"You'll be in an EV suit" Jay replied. "Mk.10 has thrusters, he can get you to an airlock no problem."
"We'll need a fast shuttle and a good pilot" Jay continued "So I'm flying."
"But...captain" Amber started
"Amber I know what you're going to say, I'm the captain, I need to stay where it's safe"
"Actually..I was going to say I should fly because I'm the best pilot you have..."
"Better than me?" Jay said "Dream on!" he smirked as he said this.
"We need a fast craft, sadly, the Phoenix is in a hanger bay so Katrina, Bullhorn, I want you two to work with Cassandra, discuss her ideas and get one of the Space Eagle's modified with whatever it takes to shut down the sensors...I know you don't have a maintenence bay to work in this time, so you'll have to do it via spacewalk..."
Katrina and Micky nodded.
"Ten, Rosette, once your aboard, priority is to shut down the external defences so that the rest of us can approach the ship safely. Then get us aboard. We'll figure out what's wrong with Holly once we're inside"
"I want the luck virus and the modifications done within 6 hours" Jay said "In the mean time, I suggest we get the away teams all on the same shuttle...."

<taggers!>
