OOC: New Character - Des Monet
Hi Everyone. This is partially to celebrate my promotion to Moderator, and
secondly because we need Engineers! So I'd like to introduce Keith, who will be
playing Technician 3rd Class Deserae "Des" Monet!

Character's Physical Appearance

Average height, slim woman, with pale blue eyes and straggly long brown hair;
often tied back with yarn or pieces of wire and a pair of welding goggles often
resting on top of her head with various attachments connected. Her clothing is
disheveled and full of pockets, which reside an assortment tools, parts and
other odds and ends, though how they got there no one know
Character's Personality and Interests

Deserae is a mechanic who loves to work on electronics, both fixing, improving,
and inventing. While she excels at the first, it is the last two that have been
known to cause problems. While occasionally her improvements and inventions do
actually do work, there are often side unexpected side effects. That is to say
if there are no explosions or fires that break out first.
She is often found nose deep into something electronically, loosing all sight of
what is going around her. This causes her to become absent minded or even
suddenly zone out or start mumbling something off topic during a conversation
when a sudden insight into a previous problem comes to mind. She is not
anti-social or even unfriendly, actually she loves to talk and meet new people.
It is just that her obsession has been known to drive away many possible
friends, only those are able to get past her faults and get to know her, become
her friends. So socially she is clueless on many occasions and thus she is a bit
gullible.
Character's history/background story

Her parents where often more involved more with their work instead of their
children, and with her two older siblings, twins, usually ending up ignoring
her. This was mostly due to their escapades, which often ended in trouble of
some sort or another. This gave Deserae had a lot of time to herself
At the age of 10, Deserae discovered a scrape yard of sorts located a few blocks
down from her house. In reality it was the backyard or front, since nobody was
quite sure where the house was in all the junk that had accumulated. She would
often explore, discovering broken items that looked interesting. After awhile
she finally met the owner of the yard. An older gentleman that was a self
proclaimed inventor and proclaimed as loony by others. He instantly took a
liking to her and a friendship / father daughter bond formed. He began
teaching her things, and Des in-turn would assist him in many different
projects. Thus was the beginning of Deserae's obsession with electronics and
machines.
Character's favourite phrases/sayings

"Watch this" which is usually followed by "Fire!" or "I think it is going to
explode!". Though occasionally it is "Hey, it really worked!"
