(no subject)

OOC - Sorry about the delay in this post, I wound up debating for a
bit on exactly how to properly write this after I got Morbid/Major
Harris's emailed ok on my ideas of involving Penny in this post
(among a few other things we discussed).
Ok, back In Character(IC) -

White Wolf and Penny Lloyd had left the courtroom and were walking
down the hallway, when Penny turned to the 6' 1" hamster and
said "Thanks for the help with the case. I don't think Major Harris
is going to get on my case about it, So I owe you one."
"Don't worry it Penny, I'm always glad to help out a friend." replied
the Huge hamster.
"Say, did you know that vest looks nice on you?"
"Umm, No I didn't. Thanks, I'm glad you think it looks good on me,
Because I intend to wear it instead of that unbearbly hot uniform."
"So now that your done with the court case, do you want take a look
at securitys' robot wars entry with me?"
"I would love to Penny, If you don't mind accompanying me to my
office to drop off this briefcase of court notes there first, since
it is along the way to the cargo bay."
"No problem, and I wouldn't mind being the first to get a peek at
what you've done with Seymours old office."
"Oh, I've not done anything much with it yet. But when I get done
with everything, I'll be glad to give you the first personal tour,
Penny."
"Why thank you, White Wolf." then Penny fell silent as she couldn't
think of anything else to say next as they walked.
White Wolf quickly stopped and turned toward her, Penny suddenly felt
apprehensive thinking she must have done or said something wrong, and
then the huge hamster motioned towards a door he was standing next to
and said "Well, Here it is Penny. I hope you don't mind the clutter I
haven't gotten everything unpacked yet."
"Oh, I don't mind." nearly stammered Penny as she quickly tried to
recover her composture and look inside as the huge hamster opened the
door to his new office.
The huge hamster politely allowed Penny to enter the office first
before following her. The Huge hamste walked over to the closet and
put away the breifcase while Penny glanced around the room and
noticed there were large crates and boxes stacked behind a large
transparent desk that dominated the main area of the room. And
leaning up against one wall, off to the side, was the Kryten
duplicate White Wolf had been working on.
Lloyd pointed at the duplicate and asked "What's that? Do you get
some robotic servant as a perk for being the first officer now days?"
The overgrown hamster suddenly looks very embarrassed, and replies in
a uneasy voice "Oh no, it's nothing like that at all. That's just a
series 4000 mechanoid that I've been reconstructing. Which I
accidently got the plans for it when I... Umm... Well, encountered
one of the Red Dwarf crewmembers who got away before I could do
anything about it... So I thought, Since I have the mechanoids plans,
I could try to reconstruct the mechaniod, and then load what little
of the personality data dump I retrieved from it and possibly get a
lead to where the red dwarf was at that time... and I wouldn't look
like a complete smeghead when I reported that I accidently let one of
the crewmembers of the ship we're looking for get away... umm, yeah,
I know ... it's a lousy and far fetched plan... and I shouldn't have
bothered..."
"Actually, it sounds like a pretty decent plan. I don't think I
would've thought of it, leave alone having the skill to try it at
all." replied Penny as she walked over to eye the mechanoid more
closely and then she continued "Besides, from the looks of the good
job you've done on this fellow, I think your going to pull your plan
off. And, this pretty much bears out my original intuition that you'd
be one of best additions for the security team to have for helping us
with the robot war competition."
The startled hamster attempted a smile, and then replied "Why thank
you, Penny."
"What for White Wolf?"
"For cheering me up."
Penny Lloyd slapped White Wolf on the shoulder while smiling and
respond, "Oh. I guess it's my turn to say 'Don't worry it, I'm always
glad to help a friend.', Huh? Well what are we standing around here
yakking each others ears off talking about it for? Why don't we go
down to the cargo bay and get to work on that robot?"
"Sounds like a great idea, Penny!"

Sometime late in the evening
Penny, Donover, and White Wolf are covered in smudges of grease and
are bent over the maintenance hatch on top of the Amourzoila (the
Security Departments entry in the robot wars).
Donover was explaining to White Wolf and Penny thier technical
problems with Amourzoila "...Then we took a lot of the parts from
that 440 troop killer that we destoryed on one of the away missions a
while back, but we're having difficulties with adapting the combat
portion of 440's AI control module to work for fighting the other
bots. It's keeps switching back to it's original directive mode and
attacking us instead."
White Wolf replied while climbing down to the floor, "Well, Donover,
you and I can fix those other problems in about five or six hours
because thier just minor mechanoid repair and maintenace work that
I've done before. But, fully debugging the troop killers AI module
will take too much time. So instead, I'll save us some time, and swap
it with the AI module from one of my busted 'guard' bots in my repair
workshop on board my ship. So, Why don't you start pulling that AI
module out while I go get my tools and spare parts and weapons from
my ships armoury?"
Suddenly interested, Penny said while bounding down after the huge
hamster "You've got a robot repair workshop and armoury on that tiny
ship of yours? This I gotta see!"

Later in the Blue Dwarfs Hanger bay
Penny Lloyd and White Wolf looked around in the massive activity
going on with everybody setting up the arena for the robot wars.
"Umm. I hope you gave a good tip to the valets when you parked your
ship, Because I don't see it around here anywhere."
"I think we're going to have to ask where they moved it to, but I'd
like to know HOW they moved in the first place! It was in need of
repairs when I last saw it."
Penny looked a a little worried, "Knowing this lot, We'll probably
find it somewhere stacked up on some concrete blocks and completely
stripped of it's components."
"Well, since I locked down it's transcendental status, the only
things they could strip from it would be what was in the cockpit, and
that's all redundant parts anyways so it wouldn't be a real big loss."
"Right..." Replied Penny looking like she wasn't sure what he meant.
The overgrown hamster started to explain "It's a transcendental ship.
It's..." And then seeing the look of confusion on her face, finished
with "Nevermind, you'll understand once we get inside. Let's just
find someone here who can tell us where it was moved to first."
Penny Lloyd stopped one of the people walking by and asked, "Can you
tell us where White Wolf's ship is?"

OOC - Just leaving an opening for someone to post where WW's little
ship got placed in the hanger bay/Robot Arena since I don't remember
either Kayn or Jay posting they've moved it.
(Perhaps Smeggs got it as a *bizarre* chandelier hanging above the
arena?) ;)
