"ok, can I open my eyes now?" asked Katrina as Seymour led her by the hand up some steps and along a tilting bulkhead.
"Careful now, its a little bit slippy." said Seymour in a caring tone.
"ooh, it feels cold and windy. Are we in the ventillation shafts?" asked the cleaner, who still had her eyes firmlu closed, waiting for Seymour to tell her to open them. Seymour wanted to be a surprise, he manouvered his dearest so she was facing the right way and then het her open her eyes and look.
 
"oh my gosh!" she exclaimed.
"I know, beautuful isn't it?" said Seymour. They both stood on the absolute top of the mining ship as it tipped backwards into the position of the doomed Titanic. Sea birds circled them curiously, and down below, small waves could be seen crashing against the new metallic blue addition to the coastline. Someone could also be seen zipping around the ship on a jet-ski.
Having been up there 20 minutes beforehand, Seymour had checked to see if the area was safe and had layed out a picnic cloth for them to sit on, complete with sandwiches, cheese, and a bottle of fine wine cooled in an ice-bucket.
 
"Oh Seymourm, this is fantastic!" Katrina hugged him and they both sat down on the rug. The ship creaked beneath them, it swayed slightly in the wind, but the couple didn't care. The Captain poured them both some wine and they sat in silence to appreciate the view. On one side was a coastline where the Spacegate they had come through stood proud and tall on the high cliff, almost daring the huge mining ship to get through it this time. On the other side, directly in front of them was a wide ocean as far as the eye could see, vapour and mist swirled on the horizon.
"I wanted to do something with you so much" said Niples Sincerely. "I had planned to take you to the new 'Regal des mckenzies' for a nice candlelit meal for two, or at least a nice friendly talk in Parrotts. But now they're all damaged due to the crash, or flooding. And I wanted to do this in case we... in case the ship goes down and we can't get to the shore." Seymour looked over to the land behind them. it would be too far to swim if the ship suddenly spit on half and went down fast, but a Starbug could make it there easily. The land actually looked pretty inviting, it had trees, grass, and showed no signs of any xenophobic inhabitants that would want to kill them. He then turned his attention to the ocean.
 
"I wonder how much of this planet is water?" voiced Seymour.
"You're the starship captain..." said Katrina.
"Yes, I know. But even I dont know everything!" they chuckled at that.
"So, we dont know where we are. We dont know how we're going to get back, and we dont know if the ship will survive- or it will sink to the bottom of the ocean?" Katrina asked.
"Something like that." Seymour hoped this discussion wouldn't sour the mood. He held her closer to him. After a moments though he spoke, with an uncertainty in his voice.
"If...if we can't get the ship back through the gate...do...would... do you want to stay here and settle down.....maybe raise a family?"
Katrina was shocked by the question.
"here...now?! On this planet? Settle down?" it was as if she was learning the English language again just to translate every word individually.
"i'm sorry, it was a silly question. I didn't want to put pressure on you, forget I said anything" Said Seymour, hoping this wouldn't scare her off. He knew he was being forward.
"..A family?"
