Jumping for Joy

Sydra had quickly lost track of the elusive Polymorph. Deciding a quick lager might help her think a bit, she mage her way to Parrots. She arrived just in time to see the Polymorph take hold of its' next victims, Amber and a woman whom she didn't recognize who appeared to be fiddling with a bomb. With no delay, Syd walked up to the blob. "Now that isn't a particularly pleasant thing to do," she stated coolly. Approaching Syd the Polymorph said, "Ah, we meet again! And let me guess, you plan on doing something about it?" Furrowing her brow, Syd replied, "Well now, I didn't say all that. I was merely stating an opinion." Now directly in front of the Ops officer, the Polymorph said sardonically, "My, aren't you brave!? I wouldn't be so calm, little one, as I plan to feed on you next." Throwing back her head with a sarcastic chuckle, Syd exclaimed, "Ha! I sincerely doubt that. There's nothing that I fear, least of all an ugly blob such as yourself!" The Polymorph in reply stated, "Well, you mustn't be very bright then. Everyone has fears... those who have a brain in their heads' anyway." Sydra's eyes began to flare. There was much she could withstand, but being called a dolt in so many words was definitely not one of them. "I've had just about enough of you! I may be many things, but unintelligent is most definitely not one of them!" she bellowed with mounting anger. "At last your human side has manifested itself, little one," said the Polymorph cynically. With no other word, Sydra was drained of every bit of anger and severity she usually possessed.   With a sensation of bliss, Syd grabbed a lager and jumped up onto the bar, starting in on a rousing chorus of an old sea shanty.   *Look ahead, look a stern,  Look the weather in the lee, Blow high! Blow low! And so sailed we. I see a wreck to windward And a lofty ship to lee, A sailing down along  The coasts of High Barbary*   Sydra had never recalled feeling so utterly happy in her life. "I feel like I can fly!" she thought cheerily. With that she took a jump off of the bar, and landed on her back. Looking up at the ceiling, she said, "Well I guess I can't fly, but that was indeed fun! Perhaps I'll have another go." Hopping to her feet she climbed back atop the bar. This time she dove head first off of the bar, luckily before she hit the ground she executed a nice little tuck, and once again landed on her back. "Wow, I could have broken my neck on that one," she thought. "But no matter, this is far too entertaining to not take that chance." On that thought, Syd began staking out new and higher things from which to jump...       *tai nasha no karosha*
