Calling All Medical Staff (At Last)

Who: I have an exam this afternoon
Where: My blood is 90% caffeine
When: So forgive my vagueness!
<< SNIP >>
"Put him in and keep a close eye on his vitals. He's a tricky
smegger, he's already tried to die once on me."
The nurse nodded and wheeled Dean to his position in the ICU.
<< END SNIP >>
Keto washed up, then turned to glance at Alota's charts. Things
were not going well. One of his patients had almost died (okay,
actually died) under his care, the other was about as lively as your
average brick...there was no completely evident brain damage and no
certain diagnosis of any until the scans came back, so as it stood
she might regain consciousness at any time...or never.
"Couldn't have been the worst Chrysler, could it? I never get a
lucky break..." mused Keto.
"Dean's hooked up to the monitors now," said Wildflower, entering
the room, "Where's Tara?"
"She hurried off covered in blood and fury," replied Keto, not
looking up.
"Then what about Jasmine?"
There was a long pause.
"What do you take me for, incompetant? I've already asked Holly to
get her here as soon as possible."
"Oh. Good," said Wildflower, blinking.
"Yes, I know I am. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have some urgent
paperwork that needs attending to in my office. Right now. This
instant."
Saying so, Keto hurried into his office and slammed the door
(which, typically, bounced back again...sliding doors don't slam).
"Holly!"
"What now?"
"Get Nurse Starbolt here now, will you? And, uh, don't mention the
fact that Dean's already been in the medibay for a few hours. It's
kind of a surprise."
"Gotcha," nodded Holly, and vanished. Keto sat down and breathed
out deeply.
"Everything is under control," he murmured.
"Hardly."
With a yell, Keto jumped about four feet in the air, spinning
around to see the source of the voice.
"Do you need any help?" asked the brain, rolling out from behind
his chair.
==========
OOC: Tag! Anyone who cares to walk into Keto's office, feel free to
do so (and be yelled at, obviously).
> So yeah... also thanks for forgetting I'm a nurse... I could be
> helping with Alota and Dean you know...
Eep! I'm really sorry, Lace, my bad...I haven't been in the most
alert of forms of late. Really sorry, I should've been paying more
attention! *chagrined* I've yelled for you now, though, so that
makes up for it...right? Right? ...oops. :)
