When : about two hours after everyone was picked up..

Alota waited until everyone sat down...or at least tried to in the cramped quarters. Those who could not be psyically present where on wall monitors, PDA's mobiles...midget phone(Jay had banned MP from seting foot on his shuttle without a bag on his head) the whole lot
 
"Well..." started the Captain..."It seem like dame fortune has decided to smile on us..We have located BD..."
 
There wasnt much repsonse..She knew how to get them exited
 
".....and it looks like ALL the beer is there as well"
 
After the exitement had died down she indicated for Phil to take over, maily cos she knew Phil hated "giving breifinfs to the bunch of funk monkeys that is the crew" as he once put it and she was feeling particullay nasty today..
 
"Thank you captain..Well we have located the BD...that's the good news....the bad news is very bad....It's stuck in 1984 and we belive from the readings from the coffe machine...I mean Deep Space Telescope that the big blue one is probably in orbit around jupiter, mabey even Europa and it's accelrating..we have about a two weeks before the ship leaves the system and then we trulley are buggered...."
 
There was a thoughtful pause
 
"There is also another problem. Wheres as the S.T.U.F.F.E.D. drive we allow about 5 or 6 shuttles to slingshot back to then, there is simply not enough power for a return journey for a ship the size of BD...hell there woundlt even be enough power left over to boil a pot-noodle...so..we have a problem...we're going to have to travel to earth and figure out a way of collecting enough energy to power to STUFFED drive up enough so that the BD can return home..."
 
"Why cant we use the BD itself to power the drive..." asked Dean
 
"Wrong type of power...BD's Fusion powered...the particles it gives off are not the right type...We need the particles giveing of by a Fission drive..."
 
"In english Phil...." asked Jay
 
"He means a nuclear reactor" intterupted Zack from the comms link on the medibay shuttle.
 
"He's right and as the only, and I use this term loosely, relaible source of the neccsary particles is a nuclear power plant of some discription"
 
"So what's the plan number one?" asked Alota in full on Captain mode.
 
"Well the way I see it is as follows :
 
I - Get all the shuttles close together.
2 - activate the drive rembering to set the proper co-ordinates
3 - Send a team to the Bd to prepare it for return journey
4 - the rest of the crew travel to earth and seccure the nessary parts and particles that are needed for the voyage home."
 
Phil paused as the implcations set in.
 
"So here's what we need to do department by department....:
 
Scieince : We need a way to cloak the shuttles when we land...that's your main job, also work with medical to try and mitgate any of the effects that a major time
Engering : When we get to 1984 you need to split get the BD ready ASAP. Build us something that can collect the nessary
Navigation : You guys are going have to do some fancy flying...If the cloak flails you our last line of protection. Also need you to locate the neccsary nulcear power supply once we get there.
Secuity : I'll be temporay re-assign myself to secutirty for this one...MP is charge of the secuirty of the fleet till we get back...I'll be in charge of ground force secuirty..
