Medibay Chaos Reigns

Who: Apparently, just about everyone!
Where: Medibay
When: During More Chaos
======================
<<SNIP>>
Dante only stopped when he saw the
huge queue in the Medibay and Keto was running round like a mental
man.
"Err, Doc, a little help please."
<<END SNIP>>
Keto was hurrying from patient to patient as quickly as he could,
patching them up and murmuring a few words of encouragement before he
moved speedily onto the next. He glanced up as he saw Dante standing
there, holding Aurora.
"What's wrong with her?" he asked as he placed a hastily-grasped
splint on a patient's leg and began fixing it in place, "Is she
seriously injured?"
"I don't know," admitted Dante, "She was in Parrott's and then she
collapsed. I think she needs medical treatment now!"
"I appreciate your worry," stated Keto, scribbling a quick
prescription for some pain relief pills and thrusting it into the
hand of another patient, "But unfortunately the odds are that she's
suffering from mild alcohol poisoning and right now we have more
serious cases. Take her through into the next room and one of the
nurses will take care of her."
"But..." began Dante, but was interrupted by a commotion at the
door. Keats, carrying Amber, had just headbutted the man Keto had
prescribed painkillers. The doctor winced involuntarily, then
hurriedly went back to work, ignoring Dante and the flustered Keats.
He couldn't believe this. All these hurt people, all the pain on
the ship, apparently clustered into this one room. How was he going
to be able to help *all* of them? It was almost enough to make him
want to give up. Almost. But this was supposed to be his job. And
anyway, helping people was the whole point. That's why he'd come
here in the first place.
With these thoughts echoing inside his brain, Keto hurried over to
where Amber was now lying, being taken care of by Wildflower.
Putting on a stern expression, Keto moved towards her with deliberate
steps, clearing his throat.
"I thought Cerebrum told you to take those pills," he said, then
gritted his teeth, "Foolish girl." Quickly, he scribbled an
emergency prescription for Amber's anti-depressants down.
"You know," she murmured, "Being half GELF, these things are
different."
"Not that different. You still need to look after yourself," he said
worriedly, then coughed and handed the prescription to a nearby nurse.
The medibay was rapidly filling with even more people. Putting on a
beaming smile, Keto went back to work.

OOC: Keto's working well under pressure - deliberately being nice to
avoid adding to the chaos, hehe. ;) And wow, so many people in the
medibay...it's almost like old times...
