can't think of a name... too tired

Jay picked up his radio from where he had been thrown out of the RAID,
which was now speeding off into the distance. He rushed to where the
others were crouched around Chris, who was still losing blood, none of
the crew could think of a way to at least slow down the bleeding, yet
Phil was still applying pressure to the wound, in the hope that he
might be able to slow down the rate of chris' blood loss. Jay, having
seen what was happening, grabbed his radio.
Up on the Dwarf, in the medibay, an on-duty melissa wandered back and
forth with nothing to do, no one seemed to even have an upset stomach.
The Radio crackled into life, the Medibay being connected to all
incoming transmissions until they get cut off by the captain. This
time she heard Jay's voice, "We need a medical team here, Chris has
been shot by the aliens, and is losing blood fast." he shouted,
Melissa, having heard this, looked in fear at the radio.
"JAY!" she shouted at the radio, "How much blood has he lost?!" she
asked, a hint of worry in her voice.
"quite a bit, and he's still losing it, we need a medi-team!" he
called back, "we need anti-venom too, we don't know if the stinger
injected some into him" he said, this made Melissa even more worried,
as she stood there, unable to do anything but listen.
"Melissa" said Jay, quietly over the radio. "I think you should know
that...unless we get a medi-team down here very soon, and unless they
can stop him losing blood, then, there's every possibility that your
father may not be with us when we get back to the dwarf.
Melissa leapt to the radio "on my way" she said, grabbing all she
could. "Captain, i need a pilot to get me down there" she said over
the radio to Alota, "I'll be in launch bay 2" she said, running off
without giving Alota a chance to react.
Melissa ran out of the medi-bay and down the corridor towards launch
bay 2, as she turned a corner, she ran, coincidentally straight into
Kanako, chris' fiance.
"Whats up?" she asked, seeing Melissa carrying all sorts of medical
equipment, she simply looked at her, and handed her some of the
things, "come on, Chris is hurt!" she said, dashing off round the
corner, Kanako in hot pursuit.
When they finally reached the launch bay, they found Dean quickly, and
got onto in raven.
The Raven powered through the planets thick upper atmosphere. Dean
landed as close as he possibly could, the terrain refusing the landing
any closer. Melissa & Kanako burst out of the back, jumping down the
ramp before it had finished its descent, and skidded to a halt next to
Chris. Melissa got straight to work patching him up, while Kanako sat
to the other side of him, holding him in a more comfortable position.
"dude, this hurts" Chris sub-vocalised to everyone, which happened to
be Jack & Amber.
"Whats happened?" they asked, a little concerned.
"oh nothing much... these new aliens are nasty, they just shot s
stinger through me, feels like dying all over again" he replied.
"dude, that sucks" Jack said, "hang in there, get a medical team
there." he said, not knowing about Melissa sat over him right now.
"oh yeah, i'm ok, just a hole through me... nothing much" he said,
groaning again. "ok, doesn't sound too bad" he said.
meanwhile, on the surface.
"What about the raid?" Seymour asked, "can we go get it back now?" he
added, getting edgy.
"have you no heart?" Kanako and Melissa said simultaneously. "you can
buy another one!" they added. Chris groaned as Melissa cleaned up the
wound.
"Is he gonna be ok?" Kanako asked, as she felt a tear appear in the
corner of her eye.
"yeah, he'll be fine, the stinger missed everything" she said, Kanako
let out a sigh of relief, and kissed Chris' forehead.
"Not that i mind it or anything, but why did you come down Kanako?"
jay asked, a little concerned that she was neglecting her post, not
that he knew what it was.
"You think i'd leave him here?" she said, showing determination that
would normally be left for lions defending their young. Jay backed
off, he'd had enough experience with 'women scorned' to last a lifetime.
"we need to get him back to the 'Dwarf really" Melissa said, "I don't
have the equipment here to do a proper job" she said, "can i have a
hand getting him to the raven?" she asked, but Chris stood up on his
own, with Kanako keeping him steady. " I can walk" he said, but
Melissa got kanako to put him down.
"no! you've lost too much blood to walk that far" she said, "let
someone carry you." she said.
moments later, everyone except seymour had chipped in in getting Chris
to the raven, which then blasted back to the dwarf at high speeds,
leaving the landing party a RAID to retrieve.
"so are we going to get the RAID back now?" Seymour asked, acting like
a kid that just lost his favourite toy.
