Guinevere quietly followed McJohn, Goode and Lustbader to the Drive
room, glad to have been invited more so she could meet more crew
members and see more of the ship. She didn't really care if she meet
the captain or not as it had been suggested. Though she skulled two
beers as she left Parrott's the second glass was put down on the
table nearest the door. She didn't care if she looked like an
alcoholic, they were free beers, Guinness and she didn't know when
she'd get to have her next.
Guinevere walked into the Drive room, it was pretty impressive, she
saw a lot of people she didn't know and wondered who amongst them
were those who had been explained to her before, no one particularly
stood out to be any of the said weirdo's that the guys had fore
mentioned. She noticed a couple of cute guys amongst the present
crew and made a mental note to get to know them after the meeting,
or at least introduce herself.
During the meeting itself a lot of promotions were handed out and
Guinevere happily didn't receive one as she had only stepped a board
in the last few hours, she would have laughed if she had, she nearly
did when the thought first crossed her mind. Due to the promotions
Guinevere learnt a few names, even the names of one or two of the
cute guys she had noticed. Dean Thomas didn't look as stupid as she
would have thought that he would from what she had heard. And Phil
FeBuggure didn't look as big, mean and ugly as she had expected
being a G.E.L.F. She wasn't surprised that the captain was a woman
after she had heard Captain Chrysler speak and wondered how or if
she was related to the M.I.A. Jay Chrysler.
Guinevere tried to concentrate on the meeting but alas to no prevail
it didn't work, she didn't know half the stuff that was being said
and so lost interest quickly, instead she began to study the other
crew members she could see more … She took her time over looking
Dean and CJ.
The meeting was soon over, though not soon enough and the captain
began talking to some of the crew about tactics, Dean and CJ didn't
appear to be especially involved in the needed planning and so
Guinevere decided that she would approach one of them, but which one
to approach first.
"Hey." She said stepping in front of the chosen male/victim. "I'm
new aboard, just got in a couple of hours back and been down at
Parrotts with Lustbader, McJohn and Goode. My names Guinevere
Winter's, I'm an engineer, technician and all rounder mechanic." Her
hand was out to be shaken as she awaited a response.
<TAGGER, TAGGER, TAGGER, Dean (If he's meant to be here) or CJ are
preferred, which ever gets to it first or wants to tag … FeBuggure
men, Harris, Keats, Keto, Kochanski, Niples are welcome to stir
things up. Arh, hell anyone can respond … male just makes more
sense.>
