Keep moving

Her weight shifted with his pull; his strength maneuvering her body to sit in front of him. The extra warmth that radiated off his body made her shift uncomfortably. Eyes drifted down to his arms, which made her think of all the possible ways he could attempt to kill her if he so desired. Though he shouldn’t have any reason to do such a thing, she mentally noted the quickest way to her dagger. Grunting at the given nickname, her eye twitched lightly in annoyance. “Ms. Conwood to you.” The tone given implied no movement on the matter. Looking around she realized they had been in the woods far too long. Sitting ducks.

“Shouldn’t we keep moving? Ms. Hibiscus could be anywhere. She would have been in the city for a whole day at this point.” Remembering the prior commitment she fibbed, she fumbled mentally for a moment. “But once we get to an area where we can rest, we should. I don’t want to show myself in the city looking like I spent all night on the horse with a mercenary.” Conwood winced at the way she spoke towards him. “Not that you are just any mercenary.”
