Horrible Nightmarish Things

The wheat-blonde hairs stood up on the back of her neck at Horo's all-too vivid description of the monstrous plants. Having lived most of her life in an ancient old-growth forest, the very thought of the trees and foliage turning so predatory gave her the heebie-jeebies. She gave a little shudder and made a horrified face that was half-joking and half-serious.

"Gray vines speckled with purple molting and brownish green leaves? Well I shall certainly take your warning to heart, and keep my distance from anything even bearing so much as the slightest resemblance," she said primly, with a smile, working her impish mouth as though both inwardly entertained and shaken by his terrifying account of these carnivore plants.

"It's good to hear that you draw the line somewhere. What about all the other things in your shop?" She peered back again over her shoulder, her eyes filled with worrisome fascination. "Is there nothing here truly dangerous?"
