The okay past

Seeing him return in a somewhat brighter mood, Winifred smiled back. Her eyes stayed on him though, searching for his true feelings. Taking a proper swig from her drink, she nodded and grunted at his question.

"I grew up in court. Not here, but there is a monarch that has power on another continent. Any who, my family was a long line of faithful fae, who served her and only her. We would also travel and help smooth out any politics amongst the nobles and such. My family spent a vast majority of our time in the torture chamber, providing painful illusions and recalling horrid memories to people who had done the Queen wrong. I have 25 siblings. I came here because our family was banished from the lands, and I didn't want to be with a group of conniving traitors."

Taking another swig from her drink, she looked down into it and smiled. "So I've been living in that forest in Dalen for over 100 years. Alone." Nodding to herself, she rubbed the sides of her arms and gave a small smile again. Her lips found the cup in a blurry fashion it seemed- taking another swig allowed her to see she should stop drinking. "Phew, if I have anymore I'm going to start dancing on one of these tables! Not really, only hussies would do such a thing."
