Plan A-ish?

"As a matter of fact I believe I do have a few. We can call you Lady Mia Keekbutay. As for me I was thinking Lord Ikan or Lord Imgwana Keekbutay. What do you think?"
"I'd drop the 'Lord' and 'Lady' part of the name, but other than that, I think your golden," Auriel recommended, although she wasn't entirely sure the question was asked to her. "You'd be surprised at how familiar some people are with foreign noble houses. If you claim to be from Zakar, and there is no House Keekbutay in Zakar, then, well, if we bump into someone who knows that, we could find ourselves in a tight spot. That is why I was thinking you guys should disguise yourselves as merchants. Actually, about that, do either of you have any business or sales experience? It might be hard to sell yourselves as merchants if neither of you know anything about any kind of sales or trades."
Auriel was starting to realize that they probably should have discussed their fake identities more in depth while they were in Rohan. Now that they were on the road, the group was going to lose a lot of time if they went back to change their costumes. Perhaps they would just have to make this work, and hope they got lucky.
Brainstorming, Auriel blurted, "Or maybe you guys can be nobles, just from somewhere really far away. Where are you guys claiming to be from, and do you think you can do a convincing foreign accent?"

LeLu then spoke up to stop Auriel.

LeLu: Ummmm my father did teach me to deal with merchants during my studies. I am familiar with the rules of Dalen taxation and margins of profit. I have sat in many a meeting with father and saw how he was strict with them when they added questionable requests in various underhanded transactions.

Jack dropped his jaw as LeLu sounded intelligent for a change. LeLu smirked as she saw Jack was shocked.

LeLu: You thought I was just a helpless princess didn't you? Aren't you glad I married you now?

Jack: You are just full of surprises aren't ya.

LeLu: Well I am familiar with the life of a noble as a former Princess and the inner workings of the court including dealing with merchants and contracts. If you want me to be an elven noble I could easily pass as an Iarla. It is the earliest form of automatically hereditary title, bestowed upon those elves who have established the proper connections to the elven royal house and other nobility of the high elves, besides having demonstrable value to the elven people as a whole. Most leaders of the larger wood elf communities are Iarlas, as are most high elves of any significance in their communities. Since it is a common low level title from the elven nations not many go through the trouble of checking their validity since it is considered a country bumpkin noble by humans. I will simply choose a remote elven nation no one cares about like Nuna-Bhwax. It is a small elven group that was decimated not long ago according to the slavers who picked me up. They liked to talk when drunk so I learned many things from them.

Jack: Interesting. Mom taught me all about academics, magic and combat so you do balance us out in this messed up country. Tell you what LeLu. You will handle the negotiations and contracts and I will be your backer and muscle in case things go bad.

LeLu: That could work too.

Jack: Okay Auriel I mean Elthien Talagar ........I will be Ikan Keekbutay a merchant from a far away place like Kurst and LeLu will be my wife Iarlas Mia Keekbutay a merchant noble of Nuna-Bhwax. That should work out for us since I still have some coin in my pocket. if you want we can price around and see what the current market is up to.

LeLu: That would be a good idea. That way I can get the market price without their knowledge first. We could resupply and gain information at the same time.

Jack: Brilliant Lelu. What do you think sis?
