OOC - What was your first RP/Sim game?

We all have to start somewhere. What was yours? What tips would you give new players now, and what advice would you have given the younger you?

I started in Blue Dwarf, which seems like a long time ago now (although there are many members older than me). I would definitely tell my younger self to make a character that fits more in line with the world. More than that, I would say that you shouldn't be afraid to dive in and interact with the other characters and plotlines.
