Detour

Mar frowned and decided to head back up to the bridge to enter the coordinates for Nar Shadaa... which in a funny twist of irony was actually on the way to Ghost's planet. Though Ring seemed a bit annoyed by the change, Mar ignored the stowaway droid. Once the course was laid in it didn't take long for the ship to arrive at Nar Shaddaa. Mar immediately put the ship into stealth mode and put in a course to the outskirts of one of the major cities. When the Void Swift landed in a pracitcally vacant junk yard Mar went to his quarters to change into more appropriate garb, a pair of dark boots and garb that made him look more like a bounty hunter than a simple traveler.

Then he went to Serenity and stirred her to consciousness. "Serenity. Wake up. We've got work to do."

"We're on Nar Shadda," Mar told her. "I decided to take us on a detour before we head to Ghost's planet. There's someone here we need to find... We're here to find a Jedi..."

The streets of the city were grimy and bathed in neon lights from a myriad of signs from various advertisements and establishments. The air was choked with the smell of desperation, industrial smog, and various other foul odors.

The bounty hunter found the Sneering Sarlacc easy enough and when he entered he found Keran Jass easily enough. A blue, female, Twi'lek the bounty hunter wouldn't have considered a Jedi if not for her lightsaber dangling from her belt. She looked like another typical scunner trying to make it by on Nar Shaddaa like everyone else. Yet when he entered, she regarded the bounty hunter with a knowing look as the strange animal sitting on the table she was at regarded him with a similar glance.

"Bounty hunter I presume?" Keran asked as she tilted her head. "Come to collect the bounty on a Jedi?"

"No. Come to claim the bounty on you, exclusively. Yardak The Hutt is tired of you mucking about in his business..." The Bounty Hunter said as his hand fell onto his blaster.

"Then Yardak should do business in more savory avenues." Keran said. She regarded the hunter with amusement. "You really think that's going to be enough to take me down?"

"Consider it an offer. Either come with me quietly or the blaster comes out."

Keran shook her head and closed her eyes. Suddenly a glass of alcohol went crashing into the hunter's helmet. He was stunned and more than a little surprised. Then another glass went crashing into his helmet, then a platter full of food, then a bowl of hot soup. The hunter tried to pull the blaster from his holster but felt it get ripped from his hands and arrive in Keran's own hand. She pointed it at him.

"Get out of here kid... You are out of your league..."

The bounty hunter, covered in food and beverages, simply ran out of the bar as the handful of patrons clapped.

Keran smirked and merely nodded as she went back to her own drink, petting the fox-like creature on the head as it seemed to smile in response.
