Remains

Dust, ash, smoke. That's all that remained of the once happy and busy village. A blacken claw dug itself into the remains before letting it pass through it's fingers, "From the ashes you shall return." The voice spoke coldly, a voice that had changed greatly throughout the years.
Draken got up from his kneeling position as he looked at the destruction he created. So much had changed for him, no longer was he the charming young man trying to be liked by others, now he was a force that was feared. He once believed he should try to be accepted by the people, especially humans. However now he sees humans as something to destroy, or at least their humanity.
Just an hour ago he walked into the village when it was busy, now he was standing on top of it's ashes. He looked around and saw the mummified corpses around him, some were that of men, women and elderly people, others were that of children. He didn't spare a single one of these humans, he looked at the ebony staff in his hand. The black wood curled around a purple crystal like tentacles of an octopus as it wraps around its prey. The crystal had a purple smoke whispering around it as glowed lightly of the same color.
Draken looked around at the village with his golden eyes before twirling the staff with both hands and slamming it on the ground. Purple smoke covered the ground of the village, his eyes shining gold. He realised his breath as black spikes come up from the ground and impaled the corpses in a variety of positions. The smoke slowly sunk back into the group, revealing the black spikes penetrating the ground. The twisted sorcerer lifted his hood to cover his long silver hair, he began walking away from his handiwork. He was off to find another human village to destroy. As he walked away from the remains he begin to speak, "The cycle of man ends now, a new age is arriving, the old age is ending. From shadows of revenge, those suffering by the might of man shall return and put man back into his place. The age of men has ended."
