Islana's Plea

The Pilgrimage of Bones, how fitting it was called that. There was no telling who else was on this pilgrimage but it wasn't difficult to assess most wouldn't make it.

Maybe drifting on the ethereal plane, in a sense, seeing her friends, meeting her mother had all been a hallucinatory dream brought about by a dying mind but it seemed so real it was difficult to believe that.

It was as if one moment Islana was drifting and the next her body was moving, her mind groggily waking to the sight of Kaithak and his prey.

Get Up! Eat! Drink! In other words: Don't Die! The falcon seemed to almost silently yell at her through its eyes.

The young woman was a little surprised to find herself alive, but that settled fast enough and she watched the falcon for a moment.

"Well, I'm trying to not die. I think I need to find Yther." Speaking to the falcon and not bothering to decide how much the bird of prey understood.

Kaithak held the lizard for another moment before moving it closer to the redhead. Oh, it was for her. She thanked her feathered companion and snapped the neck of the lizard. Eating it and getting some liquid from it's blood. Still, she needed more and asked Kaithak to find her another. A few more lizards and her strength, while not nearly where it should be, was a little better.

Islana slowly stood up but knew finding water was still vital. She needed to find the life giving liquid; to find Yther but how?

The first Prophetess - what did Islana know about her? What might help? Not wanting to think too long on it - in case her mind suddenly thought better of it.

"Yther, if saving me requires a sacrifice, something given of myself. Like the first Prophetess that went deaf. I am willing to give it. If you find me worthy of saving."

There was no telling if what she had said was correct or would even work but it was all the young woman could think to try. As it was right now, Islana wouldn't make it very far in her condition even with the lizard in her system.
