Ekero smiles and moved closer to a row of cactus that he had planted.

"These plants are hardy and sturdy. They are native to the desert of skulls. They need very little water to live and some have very refreshing pulpy and moist cores." Berus explained. The raider turned thinker, turned farmer, sliced open one and made you taste.

"Its useful if you run out of water and you come across some in the Desert but in its raw state its taste is not very pleasant" the boy shaman continued. "Although Ekero's varieties are an exception." He said shrugging not really sure how the man had achieved that.

The pulp reminds you of a sort of mushy cucumber.

That was good information that they should keep in mind for an oncoming foray into the desert. Alexis nodded gratefully to both Berus and Ekero before cocking her head at the farmer and gesturing towards his worktable. With a quiet smile she inquired if he had found creative uses for his cacti like she suspected he had for his peppers.

Ekero went on to explain many obvious uses for the spines of his cacti, being used as a needle or as a fishing hook the most common uses, as well as darts.

He picked a small pouch like the one he had exploded before and went on quite a long rant.

"He says he is trying to experiment with a similar concept but instead of the pepper powder he uses inside he wants to fill it with spikes." Berus explained.

"BOOM!!!" Ekero said laughing and banging on the worktop. After he shrugged.

"So far he has not been able to get it to work..." The boy explained...
