Apologetic Approach

If one had just one of the five senses, they would be able to tell that there was a disconnect between the two of them. Gonyaul continued trying to be polite and kind while tending to her recovery; however, his invested efforts may have helped the external but were not reaching the internal. He knew there was problem between them and he knew it would create conflict if brought up. He also knew that the problem would not go away if ignored. Even if false peace felt temporarily more agreeable, it would only magnify the issue if left unresolved.

He was hoping that Voah would volunteer her thoughts and feels; some details would be considerate too. She had usually been the more aggressive and pursuing temperament of the two. When it was clear she wasn’t going to, the fact that he had hurt her became doubly obvious. This did not sit well with Gonyaul and it weighed on his heart heavily.

He continued nurturing her needs and was pleased, at least, that his efforts in that arena were going smoothly. After one of his meditation sessions, where he lucidly explored how he should proceed, Gonyaul approached her beautiful resting form.

“Voah” it always felt good to use her real name and not their aliases, even though he thought the others were cute. “I need say apology. I hurt you and let you down by choosing to return home. Now feel growing space between us I do no want.”

He paused a moment trying to read her body language. “If you would like to share how you are feeling I listen. Please?” His approach was gentle, so it was clear that he wasn’t demanding anything.
