This was absolute pandemonium. What even were those maniacs thinking, setting their own city on fire, apparently just to hunt down a handful of figures that had drawn their ire?

At least Alexis assumed it were only a handful, judging by how many they had been sending to get at her companion, who had been on his own, and the other two people fighting a bit away from them.

However the moment the shadowed figure stepped in their way, everything else fell right off her priority list.

When her eyes met the white pupils of the hound she had only seen from afar up until this moment, she just knew. And so did he.

As she drew her own sword and dagger, in the back of her mind she wondered how this encounter would have gone if he had managed to hunt her down that time.

No matter. She stepped up to meet her adversary.

“You might want to try and take your leave…“
She told her companion, almost as an afterthought.
