Rainey nodded to Alex. " Yeah, I was just letting her size him up." she said with a small smile. "What about you?" she knew he wasn't good with new people, and he also didn't like to be underfoot when her mother got all stirred up.
Amilea uncrossed her arms and seemed to lose of the ice she had been carrying in her posture and gaze. "Very well and thank you. I'm sure you will be a good fit here on the ranch." she turned her attention to her daughters " we have guests so clean up and come join us." she said Rainey sighed but Marley shook her head " cant I'm....I'm....I'm going to help Sam!" she said her mother gave her a look but decided she didn't have time to argue " fine Rainey I'll see you inside." and with that she turned on her heel and left the barn.
Rainey gave Alex a I'm so over today look. and dropped the lead she was holding "well that's that I guess...meet me later and we can go check the fence or something.im going to need the air after this." and she followed her mother. Marley practically skipped to Sam " i hat dinner party's...they are all stuffy with people who want you to be proper." she waved at Alex "see you Tomorrow, kay?" then she turned to follow Sam.
