Autopsy Time

Date: May 12, 1889 10 am

Dr. Jackal on the other hand went to his lab to make the preparations to receive the body from the morgue of headquarters. Since he had a good idea of the size and weight of the body he made sure the slab was at the correct setting. Then he sterilized his equipment and wrapped it to keep it clean till the body came. After that the good doctor prepped and tested the vent hood since he was sure the body was stored in preservation chemicals and would smell strongly. The vent hood would filter out the harsh smells and he would wear a mask to avoid breathing in any dangerous chemicals of bodily fluids. Granted he was not afraid of being contaminated since his other personality was practically unkillable, he didn't want to trigger his other side by accident. He knew Lady Elizabeth would not be happy if he wrecked her house on a whim. Once he was ready he set up his notes to record his findings. Once he was done with his task he was going to need to write up a report for Lady Elizabeth again. He also included his past notes on the serum break down for a comparison in case she might notice a pattern by chance.

Dr. Jackal was prepping his lab when he heard a knock at the door. After opening it he saw a group of men with a stretcher and a body bag on top of it. One of the men addressed Dr. Jackal and told him they had a delivery for him. Dr. Jackal replied and accepted the body as they men carried it in and put it on the special table as Dr. Jackal accepted the paper work and checked things over be for he signed for the body. Once everything was good the men left back to Headquarters as Dr. Jackal organized the paperwork. Once he was done he put on his scrubs and layed out his sterile tools to begin his autopsy. The good doctor made several incisions and took many samples to test. It was a long and tedious task filled with many disturbing images that would surely make many faint. Dr. Jackal was long used to the imagery and smells since he had been doing this work since medical school.

The autopsy findings by Dr. Jackal

The serum appears to be similar to that found in the mouse subject. However Dr. Lamaire appears to have removed the hemlock in this serum. It also seems there is a high concentration of sodium and its much higher than there should be in any human. As for the brain extract in the serum, it appears to be the brains of a shark, most likely a great white due to the markers.

As for the monster's heart, it seems to have exploded in his chest due to tremendous stress. The heart bursting is possibly from it growing too large. This is seen in men suffering from Gigantism. Another odd reaction is the brain swelling. After running a few tests I discovered too much sodium in the bloodstream. This caused a major concussion and yet the subject was able to fight like a silver back gorilla under the circumstances. There is also an advance deterioration of the brain from what appears to be rabies. His joints and bones elongated and strained based on the lack of bone marrow. The growth structure was unstable and put tremendous stress on the joints. The subject endured tremendous pain in this state.

Do to the battle, the subject had a broken neck, several bullet wounds, slices and yet there is no signs of bruising despite the damage. His muscles seem to have been altered to a state where they denser than a normal human. Despite having larger muscles they seem to be compacted as well. This will drastically increase the muscular strength of the subject while putting the body under a lot of stress and pain.

Many hours later Dr. Jackal finished his work and cleaned up after putting the body in the cooler. He washed up his tools and sterilized them as he disposed of the biohazard materials that he no longer needed. Once he was finished he took his report to Harold since Lady Elizabeth was busy. Seeing as he needed a break he made his way to the lounge and asked the maid to bring him a carafe of coffee along with a cup, saucer, milk and sugar. Once the maid returned he took a little breather as he enjoyed his coffee break. Once he was able to unwind he looked over his notebook in hopes he might see more clues for Lady Elizabeth.
