Not-so-swift retribution

<snip> Within a few minutes a crew was with them and was prepping
Jessie for
relocation to the Medi Bay.  "Can I help?" Chrizla asked,
"Yes, strap
this over her arm and check her blood pressure." the medic passed
him
a blood pressure guage and he did as he was told.  Chrizla couldn't

understand the reading, "What does this mean?" he asked rather

frantically; "Uh-oh!" the medic replied, "'Uh-oh!'
what?" Chrizla
asked.  "We need to get her up to the medi bay
immidiately.
Chrizla," the medic ordered, "Get the Xpress Elevators ready
for us
would you?" <end snip>
Who: Jessie, Chrizla, and an anonymous medic.
Where: the Medi-bay
When: about ten minutes later.
She woke up, in an unfamiliar place, with a strange face peering down at
her. She took a few moments to sort out the situation. Peering down
at her? Ah, she must be lying down, then. The face moved away, out of
her field of vision. And since they'd been so close she must be on a bed
of some kind, probably higher than normal. (in the background, she dimly,
incomprehending, heard someone say, "She's awake now. No change in
blood pressure yet.") Her eyes flicked backwards and forwards,
taking in details about her surroundings. The predominant colour seemed
to be a sterile white, with quite a bit of what was either silver or
chrome, she'd never really been clear on the difference. That, with the
bed, suggested some sort of medical unit, a fairly advanced one, probably
aboard a ship...
Oh god. Her ship. ("Blood pressure's starting to up...")
Chrizla, sitting by her bedside, got quite a shock when the supposedly
quiescent Jessie sat bolt upright, screaming about her ship, apparently
terrified that the Space Corp had found it and were on their way up to
arrest her right now.
By the time he got his chair upright again, one of the medi-bay staff had
injected her with a sedative and she was already starting to calm down.
Just to be on the safe side, Chrizla reassured her that he'd checked on
the Wyvern before coming up and yes, it's all right, the ship's still
there, it's still in one piece, and no, the Space Corps still don't know
it's there.
Jessie relaxed immediatly, even going so far as to lie down again. Then
she looked up at him, an expression of recognition on her face.
"You're... Chrizla, aren't you?" He nodded, slightly puzzled.
She sat up, carefully, then calmly hit him, and Chrizla fell off his
chair for the second time in as many minutes.
As he landed on the floor, she said, in a satisfied tone, "No-one
hits me for any reason and gets away with it."
