sudden lack of light

Who: Kevn
where: Jay's ship
when: after bunking for most of the day.
After having no help finding the mess hall Kevn decided to map the
ship out so he wouldn't have to ask a clown who possibly had the
Black plague where the nearest toilet was.
Clowns.... clowns clowns clowns...... Kevn was about to go mad. He
needed to find someone at least virtually human on this crazy ship. A
few hours ago he tried to tell three clowns that they didn't have
prostate cancer because they were lacking the most important problem
that has common with this type of cancer. The cancer itself, and
kindly told then that he could scan them to keep their heads from
exploding. They only freaked out and said that the scanner would only
cause the cancer if they didn't have it in the first place.
"How is a platoon of hypochondriac clowns going to help in times of
battle?" Kevn sighed and popped his head into a room. It was vacant,
no clowns here. So he decided to enjoy the silence by stepping into
the room and relax with his thoughts.
"Why didn't I choose someone else's spaceship? Why why why?" Kevn let
out a sorrowful moan, "A week of this... I'd rather jam my head in a
waste compactor than have to go through a week of this..."
As his mind wandered his eyes fell to the cane... his father's cane.
He realized that he still hadn't managed to track down his sister and
tell her the bad news...
Kevn's sister was called Alyx Arwen Fenard, and she was a chipper
spirit the last time Kevn saw her. Why she disappeared was beyond
him, but his mother said it had to do with him. Kevn had left for his
smuggling career and left his sister alone with his parents. Alyx had
always been attached to Kevn, mostly because they were twins. Kevn
always knew when she was sad, hurt, you name it he knew. But since he
left her he felt sadness in the place she occupied in his heart, then
when she disappeared it was gone, nothing... like she disconnected
from him. This made Kevn feel cold, because if he couldn't feel his
sister she could possibly be dead... That would solve the problem of
him having to tell her their dad was dead but in reguardless, he
hated not know how she felt.
"Oh Magpie," he gave her the nickname Magpie after she was attacked
by a disgruntled magpie, "Where are you?"
Kevn sighed and sat on the floor pondering the whereabouts of his
sister...
