Harris, Rika, Barf - "Investigation and Escaping"

Who: Barf, Rika, and Chris Harris
Where: The Halkon Power Station
When: After separating from the group.
Chris Harris, Rika and Barf had been separated from the rest of the
group when they were lead into the Halkon trap. But Rika had been
peering around a wall watching. She watched as the Halkon soldiers
lead the Blue Dwarfers into the lift shaft, and pulled a lever,
dropping them to their apparent doom. Rika forced herself from calling
out to them, as she was clearly outnumbered and ran back to Harris and
Barf.
"Guys, some Halkons have just lead the rest of the team into a trap…
they forced them into a lift shaft and dropped them!"
"What?" shouted Barf. "Are they dead?"
"I don't know, I didn't see." Admitted Rika.
The three rushed to where Rika had been watching and looked down the
lift shaft. The lift had luckily stopped, but was too far down to shout.
"They'll be fine." Said Harris. "Jay will continue with this mission.
But in the meantime let's find these Halkons and give them a good
spanking. Did you see which way they went?"
Rika pointed down a corridor.
Harris raised his weapon and hurried down the corridor. He backed up
against the wall and jumped out gun first. "Stop! Or I'll… oh there's
no-one here!"
"I'm sure they went this way." Said Rika, and slapped Barf who was
making hand gestures that she was crazy.
Harris threw his psi-scanner to Barf, "Here, take a scan of the area.
See if you can find any hidden doors or trapdoors or anything."
Barf pressed a few buttons and waved the device around. "Erm… no.
Nothing. But I am picking up some left-over holographic energy."
"Really? They were holograms?"
"Maybe. But a hologram has definitely walked through here recently."
"Can you scan for the nearest holographic projectors? Or light bees?"
asked Harris. "Maybe we can find out what's going on."
"Erm….. well. There aren't any." Said Barf.
"There must be! Every hologram needs a projector, wither onboard a
ship or a light bee."
"Well the closest holographic projectors are on the Ffionian ships in
orbit."
"You mean the ships we came on?"
"Yeah I guess so. But there's no way of telling if they are the ones
who projected the hologram without asking them."
"Nahh… surely not. Why would they project a hologram of a Halkon guard?"
Chris got out his phone to call up the ship when he noticed he had a
text message.
"Oh hang on, looks like I got a message from Jay about 5 minutes ago."
"Pltd bmb, wll blw up n 5min" it read.
"What the hell does that mean?" he said, reading it again.
Then he heard an explosion. "Ah…"
All three of them ran out of the base as quickly as they could. They
dived out of the door of the power plan as the entire structure turned
into a large green mushroom cloud.
As the explosion subsided, debris started falling around them. Harris
pulled his face out of the dirt to see a bullet pass within inches of
his nose. He was in the middle of a firefight between Halkon soldiers
and the Blue Dwarf away team.
A munite later he was dragged to safety by Jay Chrysler. Rika and Barf
were dragged by other members of the away team.
"What's going on?" Harris asked, as Jay kept shooting, then ducking
out of the way of laser fire.
"We were tricked by the Halkons, now we're fighting our way back to
the shuttles." Said Jay. "The forcefield around their star system is
down so we can now go and attack."
"And kill them all!" Shouted Fferna dramatically.
"After today I'm almost as enthusiastic as she is." Admitted Jay. A
laser hit his arm and he started bleeding. He winced and said through
clenched teeth "Okay now I'm REALLY pissed off with the Halkons!"
He quickly ripped off a section of his shirt and tied up the wound.
Then unleashed a barrage of coverfire towards the Halkons.
The Blue Dwarf away team moved closer to the shuttles, and eventually
Barf could get to his and launch, using his ship "Dent" to hover a few
metres off the ground, firing wildly at Halkon soldiers. This provided
enough of a distraction to allow the rest of the away team to get into
the Starbugs and launch.
The final Starbug hovered a meter away from the ground when Efof and
Fferna jumped in.
"Where have you been?" Asked Jay at the controls.
"We… um… went into the woods." Efof admitted nervously, and slightly
out of breath.
"Explosions and firefights make me horny." Fferna admitted with a
smile and planted a big snog on Ffof's lips. "Especially when Halkons
get killed!"
Jay shook his head and continued to take off. He planned a course back
to the Ffionion ships that had brought them there, but suddenly there
was a jolt that caused the entire ship to stop.
Efof looked out of the hatch in the side of the Starbug. "They've got
a grappling hook on us!"
"Get rid of it then!" Said Jay.
"Oh yeah."
Efof tried to pull the grapple off, but it was dug too deep into the
metal hull. "I need to cut it! But it's high-tensile stuff! Even
stronger than the elastic on Seymour's underpants."
Rosette suddenly appeared out of the back of the shuttle with a large
chainsaw. "Will this do?"
She grinned and started cutting the strong wire that was anchoring
them to the ground.
"Watch out!" Said Fferna, pointing to a Halkon soldier that started to
shimmy up the rope towards them.
Efof grabbed a rifle and started shooting. Fferna cheered. "Again
again, shoot him in the balls… ooh yeah like that, in his kneecaps for
maximum pain!"
Efof grinned and started to revel in the sight of the Halkon warrior
writing around on the ground in agony.
"Good boy." Said Fferna, stroking Efof's head.
The ship jolted forward as the wire snapped. The Starbug was free. But
the sudden jolt caused Rosette and Fferna to tumble out of the hatch
towards the ground. Efof shouted out in surprise and tried to catch
them both. He was too late however and they both fell into the hands
of the waiting Halkons.
"Jay, Jay!" Efof called out, rushing into the cockpit. "Turn around,
Fferna's fallen out."
"Just Fferna?"
"And Rosette!"
Jay dived the Starbug and swung it around, narrowly missing the tops
of some straggly trees.
Efof stuck his head out of the side hatch, hoping to catch them as
they flew past but all he saw was both Fferna and Rosette get grabbed
by the Halkons and disappear in a glitter of lights.
"Noooooo!" he shouted out in anger. Then stomped back into the cockpit.
"They've got her. They've taken her!"
"I'm sorry mate…" said Jay, not really knowing what to say. He was
alone in the cockpit so didn't want to leave the controls, otherwise
he would have gone over and tried his best to comfort him.
Efof was always perceived as the `sensitive type' and in times like
this needed a shoulder to cry on. Jay remembered back to when Efof's
Playstation broke and he cried for three days. He was finally
distracted when Jay gave him something shiny to play with.
But this time Jay looked back and Efof was fuming. It was an odd
sight. Jay couldn't recall Efof ever getting angry at anything. He was
normally an extremely passive individual and never held a grudge
against anyone.
But right now his eyes were dark and his eyebrows fixed in a horrific
scowl.
"They'll pay! If those Halkon frackers touch her they'll pay!"

Who: Rosette
Where: A darkened room
When: Short time later
Rosette opened her eyes. She couldn't remember ever going to sleep,
but she was definitely waking up. But she wasn't in the normal place
she woke up.
She was in a darkened room, with the only light beaming through a
sturdy metal door in front of her. She moved uncomfortably and
realised her hands were tied behind her back.
A deep booming voice came from somewhere in the cell. She recognised
him as a Halkon guard. The same they had seen on the planet.
"Hello Mrs LaChance. We are going to torture you until you hate
everything and everyone."
