Sharing Space

Who: Barf, Seymore, and Mk9personality
Where: Strange bunny ship
When: After uploading Mk9personality
--------------------------------
"Well," Seymore said, waiting for the Mk9 personality to do something.
"Well what?" Mk9 questioned.
"I think he's a bit under the weather," Barf said.
"Do you ever just panick!!" Seymore said to Barf in a yelling fashion.
"No," Barf said not thinking about it. "I've worried a lot, but I have never panicked."
"Anyway, Mk9, we need to contact Blue Dwarf," Seymore said trying to breathe.
"Do you have a mail man who is part of a prominent postal service?" Mk9 asked.
"What? No!"
"Well, then there is no way to send your message to Blue Dwarf."
"Why?"
"It's against the rules."
Barf stepped up and said, "Screw the rules I have Dent."
Seymore looked at him with a scouling look.
"What?" Barf said. "I always wanted to say something to that degree, even if it is out dated
medium."
Seymore rolled his eyes as Dent's voice came into being, "WHAT THE FUCK!!"
"Nice to hear from you too Dent," Barf said.
"What the hell is going on?" Dent asked. "Do you notice I have ears as wings? Ears!"
"I know that Dent, we need your help in flying this thing, and contacting Blue Dwarf."
"Contacting Blue Dwarf? That's easy."
"No," Mk9 said. "It's against the rules."
There was silence.
"Why is he in here with me?" Dent asked.
"I accidentally put him into the computer before I put you in," Barf said.
"It doesn't matter anyway, Mk9 doesn't have the software to be a ship, that's why he's
acting funny. It's like putting Microsoft 98 into a Mac OSX."
"Can we get on with this?" Seymore complained.
"Get on with what?"
"Contacting Blue Dwarf!"
"I just did. I sent a message that all Blue Dwarf crew are in need of rescuing."
"That works."
"Oh, before I start flying this thing, is there something I should know first?" Dent asked.
"Only that the Halkon's are planning a counter nuke attack," Barf answered.
"Oh, that's rich," Dent said as he started laughing.
"What's so funny?" Mk9 asked. "I want some tea and cheese."
"What makes you think the Halkon's have nuclear technology?"
"They have radiation suites," Seymore answered.
"Just because they know of nuclear technology doesn't mean they have it. In fact, it's
against their religion to have it. No, what the Halkons are doing is something they've done
with the Ffionian's for many years. Halkons take their ships up to the Ffionians and
teleport every being back to their home planet, unharmed. Then the Halkons make sure
the radiation is all gone, and they have the technology to do so."
"Well, that's a relief," Seymore said.
"Not exactly," Dent said.
"What?"
"See, acording to the database here, the Halkons also have a telepathic ability. Someone is
setting up a trap for them, so they have to capture that particular Ffionian so this doesn't
happen again."
"How is that bad?"
"Does, by any means necessary mean anything to you?"
"Oh," Seymore said, yelling in his mind over the confusion befalling him. "Basically, are we
caught in the middle of something we can't control?"
"Basically," Dent said, "the only thing really worth doing in this situation is hope the Blue
Dwarf captain take us out of here, forgets about this conflict, and gives both me and Tin
Can a new body."
"I heard that buttons," Mk9 said.
"Is there anything we can do?" Barf asked.
"Frankly, at this point, it would be best to stay at a distance," Dent said.
"Sounds good to me," Seymore said, happy with the plan.
"Not to me," Barf said, a glow in each of his eyes. "Somethings telling me that if we don't
do something right now, everyone isn't going to be going back to Blue Dwarf."
"Excellent idea!" Den congradulated.
"What?!" Seymore complained. "You said it was best to do nothing. I've been put in
jeopardy too many times. I demand that we don't a thi-"
At that point, Barf's hand was clinching Seymore's neck. Seymore saw that the glow in
each of his eyes had turned into fire. Barf didn't say anything, he just stared.
"See, that's a bad idea," Dent explained to Seymore, who was still surviving the grip. "Barf
here senses danger, and not just any danger either: this danger needs to be attended to,
and if it is not, Barf will be someone you don't want to be around for another millenia or
so."
Seymore then struggled to say, "This. . . is an understandable. . . request. . . I think. . . we
should help."
Barf released Seymore's neck and said, "Dent, I want you to scan the volcanoes around
here. Find any sort of strange signals coming from them."
"You mean that one volcano?" Dent asked.
"Nice to know your memory is still intact," Barf said. "Take us there. Something tells me
that there is more to this war than Halkon's versus Ffionians."

(Sorry for the long post, I hope it's okay that I am taking this on a different path).
