Jay Chrysler's Big Break. .

<Snip>
Jay, still fairly drunk, peered out the window along with Dean and
Phil, to see Mk.10 walking towards them.
"What in the fuck is going on?!"
<End Snip>
Jay wasn't sure if Mk.10 was surrounded by dozens of scutters on a
murderous rampage, with more coming from every entrance to the
Promenade, or whether he was just seeing double and there were
actually half that many.
He wasn't sure why Mk.10 was surrounded by any scutters on a
murderous rampage, with more coming from every entrance to the
Promenade.
He wasn't sure why Holly hadn't remotely shut down Mk.10 or the
dozens of scutters on a murderous rampage, with more coming from
every entrance to the Promenade.
What he was sure of was that he had to do something about Mk.10's
and his dozens of scutters on a murderous rampage, with more coming
from every entrance to the Promenade, and that he himself was bloody
pissed.
Jay knew that there were several things he couldn't do when he was
drunk. He knew, for example that he couldn't (or at least shouldn't)
drive whilst drunk. This, by default included flying, which although
he was an ace pilot, he knew he was not a Virgin Atlantic pilot and
therefore, probably shouldn't risk it.
He knew that he couldn't perform open-heart surgery whilst drunk.
Hell, as much as it would pain him to do so he'd even concede that
Doctor Keto would be a better candidate for that particular task,
even when Jay was sober.
He knew he couldn't safely participate in a gunfight when drunk, a
moot point really, considering that neither he, Dean, Phil or in fact
any of the patrons of Parrotts were carrying weapons, Parrotts being
a "no-gun zone".
Jay also knew that he couldn't for the life of him understand why
after his third pint he needed to use the gents every fifteen
minutes, but this, alas, was a fact of life.
Jay did however know whilst drunk he could sing, dance, and pull any
woman he wanted and also, that he'd be able to single handedly take
on Mk.10 and the surrounding dozens of scutters on a murderous
rampage, with more coming from every entrance to the Promenade in
bare knuckle combat, along with Mr. T, Chuck Norris, and Vinnie
Jones, however his sister, Vanessa, stood by his side pointed out
that, he was tone deaf, danced like a limbless blind man and that he
was far less appealing to the opposite sex than usual when drunk, and
that he only had to remember his late wife's reaction to his
drunkeness to realise this. Most of all however, she pointed out to
Jay it was her medical opinion that to enter in bare knuckle combat
with Mk.10 and the surrounding dozens of scutters on a murderous
rampage, with more coming from every entrance to the Promenade could
be seriously damaging to his health.
One more thing however, that Jay knew he could do whilst drunk - and
was actually right about, was play pool.
"PHIL!" he yelled, gesturing to the pool tables. "RACK 'EM!" and he
started chalking up a cue.
"You wanna play pool at a time like this?" Vanessa yelled
"Phil, just do it.." Phil racked the first table. "No..all three of
them"
Jay moved to the first table and as the first Scutter entered the
bar, Jay sent the white ball sailing into the triangle, he had hit
his shot perfectly, and and the 7 ball sailed into the air, and
collided squarely with the skutters cranial CPU housing, breaking
through the other side.
"Shot!" Jay yelled, as he took a swig from his pint, and chalked up
his cue, the lined up for another shot, a second and third scutter
entered the bar together and were greeted by the 11 and 3 balls
happily burying themselves in their digital brains.
Another three met the business end of the 8, 1 and 5 balls and so
this continued until Jay had run out of ammo, and so moved onto the
next table.
Mk.10, watched as his scutter army fell like dominoes, and decided a
Plan B was needed.
"Regroup" he ordered, and the invasion stopped as quickly as it had
begun.
Phil looked at Jay, then the pool balls scattered around the bar,
then back at Jay, then the balls, before looking back at Jay.
"That's gotta be two shots to me....."
