Sandra winced as she heard the crack of metal on bone. That had to
hurt. Glancing to each side, she made sure there was no-one else
visible before darting out of the shadows and checking Jenny's
vitals. "Still alive, but she'll be out for a while," she murmured,
then slipped back into an air vent. She preferred not to be seen if
possible. Eight months of non-use had drained her blaster's cheap
power-pack dry.
