Katrina slowly made her way up to the stand as she was called to testify
against the Captain. She gave Niples a quick glance as she walked, but he
didn't seem to notice her.
"Miss Swete, would you please explain why you think Captain Cannon should be
removed?"
"First off, I'm just a janitor. I don't go and fight monsters or rescue the
ship, so I shouldn't be put in any danger," Katrina said. "But everytime
there was some sort of danger onboard, I had to watch out for myself. Lucky
for me, I can take care of myself."
"If you can take care of yourself, why do you need the Captain to watch out
for you?"
"Because that's what a captain is supposed to do. And a captain isn't
supposed to shoot at you when you come to his office to suggest he do
something about hallucinations!"
"Pardon?"
"I went with the Commander, who protected me from being shot by obeying
"Loose" Cannon's insane orders. He shot at us because he thought we were
pixies. Pixies! What kind of moron thinks pixies are after his money or
something?"
"Thank you, Miss Swete. You may step down."
"No way! I'm not done! The Captain is nuts. He could kill us all at any time!
I don't wanna die!"
"Thank you, Miss Swete."
Katrina glared at the man, then flipped him off. "Smeghead."
