Following in the footsteps of a Welsh man in a mech suit made from c

OOC – Sorry for being so quiet lately guys, had a busy week and not
had much time for writing! So this post seems a lot later than
intended!
Who: Lester, Seymour, Dai, Queen Brittany, SNIDE
Where:
<snip>
Lester was inspecting the mechanical monstrosity that Dai Evans had
rescued them with. "What's this? It's a vending machine?"
"A couple of vending machines. No useful weapons in a pharmacy, see?"
Seymour's eyes crossed, "Farm-ah-see-see?"
"That's right. Not ones left laying about anyway, so I had to
improvise, didn't I? They had a couple of heavy duty power lifters so
I grafted on the dispensing mechanisms from the vending machines,
didn't I? Got a quite a powerful Can-canon there. Not to mention the
water tanks from a couple of coolers."
"Dai," Lester said putting a hand on the engineer's shoulder, "we
both feel," he said putting his other hand to his chest, "that this
is the single coolest thing we've seen all year."
"Right, well let's not sit about chatting like a bunch of girls, beg
pardon your Majesty. I'll lead the way, won't I?" Dai scrambled back
into his customised powerlifter and started it up. Lester followed
along with Seymour and the Queen bringing up the rear.

"So... remind me again what the plan is?" Queen Brittany said as they
followed the gigantic monstrosity on front of them as it plodded down
the corridor.
"We're heading to Level 13!" Seymour said with purpose. "The guards
back there let on that that is where baby Alota is being kept."
Brittany and Lester nodded. Although both of them looked like they
were starting to loose faith that this quest would ever end.
"So... how old is 'baby Alota' anyway?" Brittany asked.
"Oh she's only.... only..." Seymour counted on his hands. "...Three".
"Three? Three years old?" Brittany said in shock.
"Indeed." Seymour said. "Born December 2105. Which makes her three
years old. Goodness, I hadn't realised she was that old." A new kind
of anger built up inside him, knowing that every minute he spent away
from his daughter, she was growing up without him.
They stopped at the doorway to a lift-shaft. A fingerprint scanner
seemed to be their only obstacle stopping them opening the doors and
riding the lift up to floor 13.
"Let me try it the old fashioned way, see?" Said Dai, and he
controlled his brutish metalic arms to throw the lift doors open. The
metal started to buckle as he pulled the metal doors open.
"Wait stop!" Said Seymour. "You'll break the lift! Then I'll never
get up to floor 13."
"Okay what about you find someone who's willing to use their thumb
for a few minutes?" Said Queen Brittany sarcastically.
"We've got no time." Said Seymour. "Dai, you're an Engineer, do you
think you could rewire the controls so the doors open?"
Right then, a large Armadillo appeared a few metres down the
corridor. Dai flexed his vending-machine-muscles and headed towards
the monster, only looking back to say "I've got go break this
Armadillo in half first, see? I want to know if it really is hard on
the outside, and soft on the inside."
Seymour turned to Lester. "Do you think you could rewire this control
panel?"
"P-p-probably not" Said Lester, then blinked. "Or maybe I can." He
said with sudden enthusiasm.
He pulled the metal cover off and exposed the bare wires. He pulled
out a green one, which sparked.
Two machine guns dropped down from the ceiling and targeted them.
"Pull the purple wire! Pull the purple wire!" Seymour called out with
clear panic in his voice.
Lester did, just before the machine guns started to fire, and they
all sighed with relief.
"H-h-h-how did you know?" Said Lester.
"Oh... erm... well someone told me. She also said to flip the wrinkly
potato."
"So you've got your own personal oracle telling you what to do in
life? That must be very useful."
"Yes, it seems to be."
"Did they tell you anything else?"
"She said 'flip the wrinkly potato', but I'm not entirely sure what
that means."
"Erm... I guess they can't all be useful." Said Lester.
"LOOK OUT!" Came a Welsh cry from behind them. They all turned to see
Dai holding the Armadillo by it's small tail, which seemed to be
angering the breast and making it belch wormholes in every direction.
A crimson red spherical wormhole hit one of the machineguns above
them and caused it to be sucked in.
"Where do those wormholes go?" Seymour asked, but wasn't expecting to
get a sensible answer from anyone around him.
"No idea, but I'm not getting sucked through one." Said Brittany. "It
might materialise me into deep space. Or worse, a folk music concert."
The Armadillo leaped out of Dai's metallic arms and fired a wormhole
back at him. Dai's makeshift mechanical exoskeleton was too bulky to
dive out of the way quickly, so he was sucked into the wormhole.
"W-w-w-where did he go?"
Seymour shrugged, and got in the lift. "No idea but I'm going to find
my baby."
They all followed, but the angered Armadillo had seen them and
started charging towards the lift. Seymour hurriedly pressed the
button for floor 13, hoping that the lift doors would close before
the enlarged mammal got to them.
The doors were almost closed when the Armadillo belched another
wormhole straight at them. It cut through the lift door and caught
Seymour in the chest. He disappeared as he was sucked through.
Brittany and Lester looked at each other in shock. "Where's he gone?"
