Pancake - "Only a spider"

Who: Justin Pancake
Where: Starbug
When: Same time as Rosette and Mk10 go to the Blue Dwarf
Justin reached behind the storage locker. He stretched his arm but it wasn't quite long enough.
When he retracted his hand it was covered in fluff and hairs, and an old sticky boiled sweet was stuck to his sleeve.
"Pancake, what are you doing?"
Justin looked up, it was Chris Harris the Chief of security. Justin felt a cold sweat flush over him.
"I... um.... There's a spider down there." He said.
"Oh." Said Harris. Unsure how to respond to that.
Justin nodded. "I can't quite reach it."
Harris tried to avoid the obvious question of why Justin wanted to catch the spider. "Erm... are you trying to kill it or catch it?"
"I'm going to interrogate it." Justin said, sounding more than a little manic.
"Oh. Fine." Said Harris, and was about to walk off. Then just before he did, he turned and asked rather worriedly. "It's not a Hymenoptera is it?"
Justin grinned at the word. He was starting to develop a strong bond with the powerful insects, despite them abandoning him on the planet last week.
"That was what I was going to ask it." He said.
"Riiiiiight." Said Harris. "Justin are you okay? You just seem a little.... weird."
"Fine. Fine." Said Pancake, and reached again behind the back of the locker. He pressed his face right up against the metal so that he could get his arm a little further behind.
"It moved!" He shouted. Then he answered Harris' question. "Yes. Yes. I'm fine. I just... realised something recently. There's a war coming. It's inevitable. But I want to make sure I'm on the right side."
"Oh?" Asked Harris. "And which side is that?"
"The side that wins!" Justin said. Then shouted out in surprise. "I caught it!"
He pulled his arm out from behind the locker and in his cupped hand was a small black spider about the size as a five pence piece. It froze.
"Look!" Said Justin and cradled the spider in his hand. "It likes me!"
Harris raised an eyebrow. Justin didn't seem to be acting like a normal person at all. Harris considered mentioning him for psychiatric evaluation when they got back on the ship.
"Oh Justin. I almost forgot." Harris said, holding out a piece of paper. "This was emailed to you. It's only short, any idea what it means? There was no 'from' field specified."
Justin took the paper and looked at it. In simple Times New Roman font it said "The corridor of infinite perversions."
"Is that all?" Justin asked.
"Yeah, what does it mean?"
"I've seen it before." Justin admitted. "Written on walls and weird places. Remember when I was accused of being a traitor because I stopped to look at some graffiti? I saw it then. I've also seen it written in Polish on the Polish version of our spaceship from a parallel universe. It was also something that an alternate version of me from a parallel universe said to me just before he died."
"Weird eh?" Said Harris.
Justin nodded and continued to stare at the spider. "Hello." He said to it, considering it closely. Then he tutted loudly and flicked the spider across the room. "Bah!" He said.
"What did you do that for?!" Harris said, avoiding the high projectile arachnid.
"It's only a spider." Justin said.
