Jack Rockfield arrives at the Blue Dwarf
Who: Jack Rockfield and Holly.
Where: Blue Dwarf ship's hangar then Rockfield's quarter (Room N°409).
When: Now.
Jack Rockfield was already standing, holding his bag in one hand, behind the
Space Corps's ship's door when it opened letting him see the big Blue Dwarf's
Hangar. After stepping outside the ship he spend a few minutes looking around
him this vast place but started to wonder why no one was here to welcome him. He
waited a few minutes but nobody came. So he saw a little group of worker talking
together near a Starbug ship and decided to ask for some information.
"Bonjour
" He said.
They looked at him. Then he says:
"- Excuse me Monsieur, I need some information
- Yo man. What do ya need man?" The man that replied to him was very tall with
long dreadlocks and dark skin. He was wearing an oil stained jumpsuit with the
sleeves around his hips and a colored T-shirt with the word "Jamaica" written on
it. We could see "happiness" in his eyes.
- I just arrived here, I am Jack Rockfield. Where can I find someone in charge
here? They should be expecting me.
- Oh man, don't worry... Here at da "BueDawf" ship you can't rush things, like
we all say around here: "let for tomorrow what you could do today
" Then they
all laugh and turned back to their conversation ignoring Jack.
Jack decided to wait a little longer to see if someone would show up.
After almost half an hour he saw a skutter approaching him with something in
its claws. The skutter stopped in front of him and hang him an envelope. Jack
found inside a note and a brochure with "Visiting the Blue Dwarf" written on it.
When opening the brochure Jack saw that it was in fact a brochure for tourists
with a map of the Blue Dwarf inside! The note says: "Welcome to the Blue Dwarf
Dr. Roackfield. Your quarters are at room N°409."
" They misspelled Rockfield!!!" He said to himself What a nice welcome!"
But Jack wasn't here to get upset right on the first day so he put all this
behind and started to read the brochure to find the room N° 409.
Inside the elevator while listening to the "Bossa-nova" music he was starting to
believe that all he had heard about the Blue Dwarf was actually true
Room N° 409 was empty. The room was painted in a white tone and wasn't very big
but enough for tow people. On the left side of the door there was two beds on
top of each other inside the wall, in the middle a table with two chairs, the
bathroom was located next to the beds and on the right side of the door we could
see two wardrobes. On one wall was a screen turned off and on another was a
large window facing the deep space. It was a standard Dwarf ship type room.
Jack threw his bag inside a wardrobe and sat on the bottom bed. "What now?" He
though.
"Hello dude!" Jack looked at the screen were the voice came from, there was a
head shape floating in the dark. "I'm Holly, welcome to the Blue Dwarf; sorry I
was delayed by a "toaster" problem
"Said the head.
Nice to meet you Holly, I am Jack. I was send here as a geologist
I Know bud, I'm not the main computer on this ship for nothing you know
Of couRse soRRy. He said with his French accent.
Go introduce yourself to the Captain's office; he should be there any minute
now.
Ok I will Holly, but how do I get to the Captain's office?..."
But Holly disappeared before he could finish his sentence, we could still hear
from the screen Holly's voice saying: "Well, use your brochure mate!
"
