**Actionette** - "Heavy Metal"

<<OOC: Yeah, it's not really a story post, hence only an Actionette.  Still very important!>>Where: The PromenadeWhen: About nowWho: Spidette, Chris, Mk.10<snip>There was a sudden loud rumbling beneath the deckplates as they ran, stopping them both in their tracks."Please tell me that was the caviar you had for breakfast?" Jayne remarked, looking at Seymour who said nothing, but simply shook his head."...damn..." was all that Jayne managed to muster before the deck, significantly weakened by the flames, and the sudden explosion collapsed downward, the entire promenade, which ran the entire length of the ship fell from beneath their feet, smashing through the deck plates below, taking everyone, and everything on the promenades lower level with it.A deck down, Jayne dug herself out from a pile of rubble and consumer goods."Well.." she said "That's never happened before...."</snip>it took a full five minutes before the deck stabilised itself.  The deck below the promenade rumbled unhappily because of the extra weight it was holding, but the sturdy JMC construction kept itself together... mostly.  Several sections of the deck directly below the Promenade fell through to the one below, but they were few and far between.  "Oww... My head..." Chris Harris said, nursing a headache.  He removed his hand from his head, and looked at it, as something felt different."Ahh crap." he said, noticing a blood smear over his palm.  Looking up, he noticed a sharp piece of metal very close to his head, with blood on it.  Instintively he moved away from it."Good to see you're finally awake." Came the voice of Mk.10 nearby.  Chris looked around to find the source of the voice, and found the small robot stretched as tall as he could manage.  Above his outstretched arms, the piece of deckplate that hung above Chris groaned with stress."Now would be a good time for you to get out from under here." Mk.10 managed.  Chris scrambled to get past, then turned back to Mk.10."Ok, you can let go now."  He said as he cleared the final piece of outstretched metal."No Chris, I can't.  My.. servo's are bust."  He said, with an electronic buzz instead of a pause.  "And *bzz* my power cell *bzz* is fu*bzz*ed."Chris moved to help pull Mk.10 clear from the rubble, but he yelled back."Stay back, if this falls, it'll *bzz* you."  He said, "The weight *bzz* this is too *bzz* for you to *bzz* in time."  He said.  Chris' head wound meant he had to think for a moment to figure out what the buzzes meant.  He looked up above the small robot, and noticed that he was holding up the entire weight of a Marks & Spencer from the raised mezzanine.A screech from behind him meant he was in trouble.  With a squelch, Spidette shot acic from her mouth, melting the metal that had captured her.  She crawled from the damaged deck plating, obviously badly wounded.  Air vents high above the deck were now visible as all of the pipework had also been pulled down with the explosion.  A web shot up, dragging the spider along with it, until she had disappeared into the bowels of the ship.Chris turned back to Mk.10, now free to help in any way he could."Go, Chris.  It's over."  He said, managing his final words without a buzz.  His arms snapped under the strain of holding up so much weight for so long.  The deck fell, squashing the diminutive robot beneath its massive weight."SMEG!" Chris yelled.  This Hymenoptera had killed two of his best men.-----------------------------Where: Inside Rosette's head."Why are you doing this?" Rosette yelled, tears flowing down her face.  "Where did you get this much strength from?" She asked, sat on her legs beneath the towering behemoth of the Bug.  "I've figured out how to turn your own strength against you.  There's nothing you can do to stop me any more!"  The bug yelled back, laughing loudly."You're weak now... someone is going to kill us." She said, or she hoped... The only thing that would bring her peace now was the death of both of them.<tag.  Please, don't take that final line seriously, I don't want them to die.  If anything, this bug is now too weak to actively fight, so she'll run away from you.  Feel free to force her into a corner though, or trap her in a room... If you do, that'd be perfect.>New Windows 7: Find the right PC for you. Learn more.
