*Action* - "Rescuing the Yorkshire folk"

Who: Efof, Captain Chrysler, Kaleb, Hallie Taylor
Where: SCS Huddersfield
When: After Amber left in the Starbug
<snip>
The hull groaned again. "Jay…" Jayne said "That didn't sound good…"
"No..the ship was weak already…the Starbug crash didn't help…this bucket's going
to break up before long, we need to find the crew and get out of here.."
"Erm.." Efof said "How do we do that exactly?"
"For once Efof.." Jay said "That's not a dumb question..…"

The ship shook with the power of a small earthquake, almost knocking the away
team to their feet. Floor tiles above them clattered to the ground.
In the centre of the carnage, a small baby appeared in a flash of swirling
light.
"What's that baby doing here?" The Captain asked, and quickly ordered Efof to
pick her up. "Take care of her will you? I don't want Seymour's baby messing up
this mission."
Efof nodded and scooped up the laughing toddler, who was genuinely excited that
she was on a spaceship which was breaking up around her.
Jay took out his phone and called Seymour.
<snip>
"Mr Chrysler?" Seymour almost screamed down the phone.
"Seymour." Jay said, speaking from the S.C.S Huddersfield. "That's Captain
Chrysler remember. Can you please keep your daughter under control? She's
entered a very dangerous situation, we're on a ship which is about to fall
apart, and about to be destroyed by a supernova, and the last thing we want is a
crying baby over here."
"Keep her safe for me!" Seymour said, almost weeping. He looked out of the
window to see the S.C.S Huddersfield start to fall apart.

The away team moved further into the ship. "I think this is the mess hall." Jay
said.
"Yes it looks like a mess." Efof said, looking around at the bits of broken
equipment caused by bits falling from the ceiling. "But which part of the mess
isn't?"
"The MESS HALL you idiotic blue smurf!" Snapped the Captain, whose patience was
wearing thin.
"Which way?" Efof asked, and looked at the Captain.
"I... don't know." Jay said, and then wondered if that was the best thing for a
Captain to say. He knew that a Captain had to make decisions quickly. He quickly
replaced his statement with "Split up. The crew could be anywhere."
Another quake shook the ship. "I don't think we've got time." Efof whined. He
looked out of a window to see the sun expanding, ready to go supernova.
"Just do it." Jay barked.
Efof felt Alota squirm in his arms and then she disappeared. The last part of
her to disappear down her self-created wormhole was her fluffy rabbit tail.
"She's gone!" Efof shouted out.
"Who's gone?" Jay called back fro ma different part of the ship.
"Alota!"
"I told you to keep her under control. This is an away mission, not a crèche!"
He shouted back angrily.
"I know... but she just burrowed off somewhere."
"Find her." The Captain shouted back.
A flash of swirling light in front of Efof let him know that she wouldn't be
hard to find. "Oh." He said to her. "There you are."
The little girl stood a metre away from him, peering up with her beautiful eyes,
and pointing to a corridor to her left. Efof stood for a few moments, just
looking at her. "What are you pointing at?"
Alota said nothing, just giggled.
"Do you want me to go down there?" Efof asked.
Alota started sucking her thumb, and nodded.
Efof walked down the corridor she was pointing, it was the worst part of the
ship he'd seen, the floor had completely caved in, and the walls were being
twisted by the pressure of the ship falling apart.
Efof quickly heard the shouts of help from two people with strange accents.
He ran over to see a fat woman in an apron and rollers in her hair trapped by
some rubble. Efof quickly started to dig her out. "Who are you then?" She
shouted at him in her Yorkshire accent.
"Efof." Efof said.
"I beg your pardon!" She said.
"Who is it Mavis?" Shouted a male voice buried further in the rubble.
"It's a blue alien!" She called back.
"He might be trying to invade. Hit him one!"
Mavis lashed out and hit Efof right across the face.
"Hey! Stop that. I'm from the Blue Dwarf. I'm just trying to help!" He said, and
removed the last piece of rubble. "See?"
He helped Mavis to her feet. "Ooh thanks duck!" She said. "I'll make you a nice
fish 'n chip supper to say sorry for hitting you. Do you like mushy peas?"
"Don't forget about me young'un!" Called a voice from under the rubble.
"Ooh eck! Gilbert, are you okay under there?"
"By eck no I'm bloody not!" he shouted back. "I'm trapped. Get me out!"
Efof started pulling on the wreckage. A large piece of metal bulkhead had fallen
across, and Efof was too weak to lift it. But it didn't stop him from trying.
Behind him he could hear Mavis talking to Alota. "Ooh aren't you a darling
little girl." She said. "Why are you waving your arms like that? Oh... you've
disappeared. Where did you go?"
Alota burrowed into the rubble to where the name named Gilbert was trapped.
"Eyup!" he said to her, before she grabbed his arm with her tiny hand and they
both disappeared. They materialised outside of the rubble next to Mavis. "Oh
Gilbert, you're safe!" She said and hugged him. "Fish and Chips and mushy peas
all round!" She said.
"Not before a good cup of Yorkshire tea!" He said.
Alota tugged on Efof's trouser leg, who was still trying to move the large piece
of metal. "Not now Alota." he said, I've got to rescue these people.
"I'm here lad!" Gilbert said behind him.
Efof turned around, and looked at Alota, who was grinning proudly. "Oh. How did
you... oh. Well lets go then!"
They returned to the mess hall, and met Jay, Kaleb and Hallie. "Is this the
entire crew?" Jay asked. Gilbert nodded. "Aye lad. Just me and Mavis."
Jay nodded. "Lets get out of here. I'll ring Amber for a pickup." He picked up
his phone as they all made their way back to the small ship's landing bay.
"Amber, get that Starbug back here, we need a pickup!"
As they got to the landing bay, a shockwave from the star they were orbiting
caused the ship to shake more violently than before. The hallway collapsed, and
a large metal girder fell on Gilbert and Mavis, trapping them.
Jay, Efof and the others dusted themselves down, mostly unharmed. Looking back
from the doorway of the landing bay, Efof could see Gilbert and Mavis. "Help
us!" They both begged.
Kaleb and Hallie were closest. They ran to help, but the bar was too heavy to
lift quickly. Jay ran to help them, but Efof caught him by the arm and showed
him his psi-scanner. "Jay... I mean Captain. Look, we've only got 15 minutes
before the sun goes supernova."
"We might still have time." Jay said, but wasn't too hopeful.
<OOC – Can we save the Yorkshire folk in time? Kaleb, Hallie, Jay I'll leave it
to you to save them. Amber (or someone else) can you please come rescue us?!>
