"Joining the Party"

<snip>---- Snip ---"Attention all hands, this is Lieutenant Commander Chris Harris. There is an enemy ship in sensor range, they appear to have shields and weapons online. We should prepare for boarding parties. BATTLESTATIONS."---- End Snip ----"That's your cue..." Rufus said, "Don't let on that I showed you. They've not worked out who's hacking the cameras yet..."</snip>"They'll never figure it out... you're a supergenius after all." Rosette grinned, and turned towards the door."Thanks.. you've given me a reason to keep going..." she said quietly, almost as if she didn't really want him to hear.  She ran out of the lab, and straight to the Security offices, straightening herself out on the way.At this point in time, she didn't care that she smelled a little of booze, or that she still had a little bit of a hangover.  All she cared about was that she was still accepted, and wasn't going to be killed on sight.Passing the Armoury, Rosette stopped for a moment, and grabbed a pistol, using several different methods of diplomacy, intimidation and other charms (wink wink, nudge nudge) to get one without being an official member of the crew.  She arrived at the Security office in just a few minutes, and stood in front of Chris' Desk."Chris... uhh.. Sir.  Is there anything I can do to help?" she asked, hoping she was going to get a chance to save the Dwarf.  She gave a quick, although half-assed salute, which she thought would be more than enough given she wasn't an officer at all.<tag Chris. It's a reversal of roles from the old days!  Also, sorry it's short... Posting from work >We want to hear all your funny, exciting and crazy Hotmail stories. Tell us now
