Seymour "Talking to a higher authority"

Who: Seymour and Justin Pancake
Where: Flight deck
When: After disembarking from the Starbug, and before Jay was fired
Seymour took a deep breath and walked as quickly as he possibly could away from
Justin Pancake. He didn't want to talk to anyone at the moment, and averted his
gaze from making eye contact with anyone. His world had been turned upside down,
and wasn't even sure what he was going to do. With no Queen, he would be out of
a job. He didn't know if Brittany's successor would even want a Royal Ambassador
roaming around the galaxy. Brittany only gave him the job because she was
interested in space travel.
Seymour didn't even know who Brittany's successor was going to be, or even if
there was going to even BE one. Brittany was the last in the current line of
Royals, she had no brothers or sisters, her parents were dead, and she didn't
have any other family that anyone was aware of. Many members of the Royal family
had all died prematurely of inbreeding-related illnesses.
Someone shouted him. It immediately made him very angry because he knew exactly
who it was. He turned around and snapped at Justin Pancake.
"Mister Pancake please leave me alone. I've had quite enough of you."
"But..."
"I'm sick of your rudeness, and your lack of morals."
"I don't..."
"Frankly, I hate to look at you because you're an evil, murdering little
commoner who only thinks of himself." He shouted, and tried to walk away.
"Seymour, but Seymour, I've got something to show you. You'll want to see this."
Justin thrust a tablet PC in front of Seymour's face showing some CCTV footage.
It showed Captain Jay Chrysler ruining Seymour's apartment."
"That's...!" Seymour said, snatching the device from Pancake. "...He's...!"
Pancake nodded, and grinned an evil little grin.
"Where did you get this?" Seymour demanded.
"Oh... um... I was just doing a diagnostic on the Security cameras." Justin said
unconvincingly, but Seymour didn't suspect anything unusual, he was too angry.
"How dare he?!" He said. Then he tucked the tablet PC under his arm. "I'm
keeping this. I need to send this to an Admiral straight away."
"Actually..." Justin said, watching Seymour go. "...That belongs to the
Engineering department..." He sighed and let Seymour take it away.
-----------------------------------
Who: Seymour and the Admiral
Where: Seymour's ruined apartment
When: A few minutes later, just before the Admiral fired Jay
Seymour stood in his wrecked apartment, talking to the projected face of the
Admiral on a TV above his grand fireplace. "Look at this place, just look at
it!" Seymour ranted. "They've even broken my priceless African fertility
statue!" He lifted up the wooden statue, it's splintered phallus was hanging
off.
The Admiral made a surprised but sympathetic "Oooh" sound. "Don't worry Mr
Ambassador, we've got the CCTV evidence you uploaded to us, I'll make sure Jay
Chrysler gets what he deserves."
Seymour clenched his fists in anger. "I hope he never works as an officer again.
He should be made to repair all the chicken soup machines."
The Admiral nodded. "I'll have a word with him."
A blast to the ship almost knocked Seymour over. He grabbed onto an expensive
wood and leather chair to steady himself. From another room he could hear Alota
start to cry. A second explosion knocked a picture frame off his wall.
The Admiral remained on the screen, meaning he had something else to talk about.
"Spot of bother?" He asked.
"It's quite normal around here." Seymour said, he looked out of the window and
saw a Mollopod ship firing on them, he decided to ignore it for now. "Was there
something else?"
"Yes." Said the Admiral. "We want to have a public funeral for Queen Brittany.
Would you be able to send her body back to Earth in an airtight coffin?"
"I...urr..." Seymour frowned. "I DID say that she was blown up didn't I?"
"Yes. But we have to bury something. The public demands it."
"Oh." Said Seymour, racking his brains. There really wasn't anything left of
Brittany. The explosion turned the Blue Midget into fragments, there really
wouldn't be anything left. The Mollopod ship firing on them outside his window
told him that they just wouldn't be able to stroll back down to Mollopod and
sift the oceans for bits either.
"I'll... I'll see what I can do." Seymour said, and swallowed hard.
He watched out of the window as the a cloudy red wormhole engulfed them and they
tumbled out into the Proxima Centuri star system.
Inside his apartment, a much smaller wormhole was made next to his foot and his
young daughter crawled through from the other room. She hugged his leg. "Daddy,
Daddy!" She said, and showed him her favourite toy.
"Hello Alota." He said and she smiled. "Where am I going to find some part of
Brittany to bury?"
<Would anyone be able to solve Seymour's little problem?>
