Escaping Resistance HQ

Who: Seymour Niples, Rosette, Amber, Davie and the resistance
Where: Resistance HQ, Flight Deck
When: After Efof grew his fingers back
<snip>
Seymour was wearing what seemed to Davie to be an admirals uniform. "A bit pretentious?" he replied. "Never mind about fashion, Jones. I'm a very busy man, what running a rebellion and all. What do you need to tell me?"
"I wanted to tell you I brought medical supplies and some weapons. I figured you could use them."
"Why, thank you! I'd put you up for the Space Corps. Medal of Honor, were we not fighting them. Is that it?"
"Yeah, I'll be around the flight deck if you need me."
"Good, we will, soon."

Seymour watched Davie as he stomped away in his chunky exoskeleton, then answered his phone as he felt it vibrate in his pocket.
"Efof old boy, how are you doing?"
"She chopped my finger off!" Efof whiney voice came through the phone.
"Never mind chap, you're doing an absolutely spiffing job."
"But I don't want to! She might chop more fingers off... or something else!"
Seymour stepped away from the crowd in the Resistance HQ to make his point clear to Efof. "Listen Efof, we need you to continue what you're doing. We need a spy working for Castillo, we need you to tell us everything she's doing. Can you do that for us?"
"But... she's a loony."
"I know." Said Seymour. "But chin up. It'll all be over soon. Don't let anyone suspect you're working for us, alright?"
"Okay. Bye bye!" Said Efof and the line went dead.
When Seymour turned back to his desk he saw Amber and Rosette crossing the deck towards him.
"Ahh jolly good, it's about time you two showed up!" He said.
"Leave it Seymour" Rosette warned. "Rufus has been captured."
"Damn!" Seymour said, slamming his fist on the desk. "Castillo knows where to hit us hard, he was our best computer geek! We need him!"
Amber nodded. "He's on Deck 13, but Castillo have guards all over. We'll never get him out."

Justin took Kara by the hand and went into the air ducts above the resistance HQ
with a few cannisters of toxic gas.
<end snip>
A hissing sound came from all around them. Amber, Seymour and Rosette looked up to see clouds of gas streaming from the ventilation grills in the ceiling.
"Good lord, they're gassing us!" Seymour exclaimed, putting his hand to his mouth. "Castillo has gone too far this time! EVACUATE!"
Everyone grabbed what they could carry, which included weapons, clothing and everything else you need for a rebellion and crowded towards the doorway.
"Wait! Wait!" Seymour shouted to the fleeing crowd, but they couldn't hear him over the hustle and bustle."
"Not that way, they'll be waiting for us!"
As the crowd filed through the doors, the sound of gunfire and bazukoid blasts started.
"Use the emergency exit!" Seymour pointed to a smaller door. Rosette, Amber, Davie and a few others followed him.
They left the Flight Deck, or as they'd come to know it 'Resistance HQ'.
"Where to?" Amber said. "Nowhere else on the ship is safe."
"To my apartment." Seymour said.
"Are you insane? That's way too obvious." Said Rosette. "That's exactly where Castillo's guards will be looking for us."
"Aha! Yes I'd wager it's so obvious that it's the last place they'd look!" Said Seymour, and took them in the direction of his apartment.
"Stop in the name of Captain Castillo!" Shouted a voice behind them. They turned to see Justin Pancake wearing a Nazi uniform, next to him was Kara McGellan. Both of them held weapons pointing towards them, with Justin holding a large bazukoid.
"It doesn't have to be like this!" Shouted Seymour. "Come join the resistance!"
Rosette nudged him. "No way, we can't trust him, he's a lunatic!"
Seymour ignored her. "Mister Pancake, my good man. What has Castillo promised you? A pay rise? A promotion? That woman can't be trusted. Please let us go, that's a good fellow!"
Justin shook his head. "No way." He and Kara started firing at them.
They would have been sitting ducks in the corridor if Davie hadn't jumped in to help. With his exoskeleton he was strong enough to rip a piece of metal plating from the wall and held it up as a shield.
Justin's bazukoid shell exploded on contact, knocking Davie backwards but protecting the team from the blast. This gave them just enough time to escape.
They all jumped into an express-lift elevator and rode it all the way to Seymour's Ambassadorial Apartment.
As Seymour had suspected, the apartment was unguarded and empty. "Ahh, it's good to be home!" He said, and stood back to let everyone else enter. "This is the new Resistance HQ." He said proudly. "Please wipe your feet when you enter, and please don't make a mess. Don't put those weapons there! What are you doing? That's a 17th century statue, not a place to hang explosives!"
Everyone settled and continued planning how they were going to take the ship over from Castillo. The great thing about Seymour's apartment was that it had a massive window with a great view over the top of the Blue Dwarf. Far in the distance they could see the Drive Room, a structure separated above the rest of the ship so that it could be detached in case of emergency.
Seymour stood up to the window and pointed. "That's where we want to be people!"
He clicked his fingers, and when nobody responded he turned to Rosette. "Would you get me a large class of Chianti my dear? Chop chop."
Rosette was about to spit something rude back to him when she noticed all of Seymour's wine racks were empty.
"There's no wine here." She said.
"Don't be redicul-" Seymour stopped when he realised it was true.
"My chardonney, my merlot, my cabernet sauvignon... Oh the horror!" He felt rage building up inside him. His face went red. "Oh Castillo you've gone to far this time. THIS MEANS WAR!"

Who: Captain Castillo and a chef
Where: Captain's office, Drive room
When: Same time
Castillo had dimmed the lights and poured herself a glass of Seymour's very best Cabernet sauvignon. She looked at the steak on the plate in front of her.
"Iz zis what I asked for?" She asked.
"Yes ma'am." Said the chef. "Those Govine creatures, they're very similar to cows."
"And I'm sure it'll go lovely wiz a red wine." She said, sniffing the dish.
"Although ma'am, it's not normal for a cow to beg me to let him go before it's killed.
"Oh nonsense." Said Castillo, cutting a piece of the meat and chewing it. "Ahh oui dis is like ze best beef I've ever tasted! If we sell zis, we could make ze JMC a fortune!"
"I... urr..." The chef said.
"Iz zere a problem?"
"It's not right." Said the Chef. "They're people too. We can't just eat them."
Castillo rolled her eyes. Then she removed a gun from her desk and shot the chef without a second thought. He fell to the floor, dead.
"Ahh yes, it goes perfectly wiz red wine." She said, and finished off the steak.
OOC – SMAndy and Becca we talked about some options last week, do you want to take it from here and make some of it happen?
