Seymour's poster campaign

"Then it's settled" Jay said "Everyone grab a gun, or three" he eyed Davie for a second, spotting the weapons he was already carrying "Or twenty-three, whatever, and lets move out. Stay close together, we can't afford to lose anyone...."

It was Cass who first noticed that Seymour wasn't keeping up with the rest of the group. She dropped back to see what he was doing.
Seymour was affixing pieces of paper to the walls as they walked. When he saw Cass approach him he had a piece of sticky tape in his mouth which he quickly used to stick the paper to the wall.
“Ahh, you... err... might be wondering what I'm doing.” He said as Cass stared at him, hands on hips.
“Yes. We can't lag behind too long, these corridors aren't safe remember. What are you doing?”
“I'm putting up posters.” He said slightly embarrassed.
Cass took one of the pieces of paper from him which was a printed screenshot using really cheesey wordart and over-used clipart. “What's this about?” She said.
“I'm organising a seminar, I mean lecture, I mean talk, I mean meeting.” He said. “To discuss my role as Captain.”
“Why put them all out here?”
“Oh well there might be stragglers walking about, people who came out of stasis that we don't know about. Holly doesn't even have a full count you know. There could be crewmembers who we haven't met yet. It'll let them know where to meet us.”
“And what about the monsters?”
“Oh they won't read it!” Seymour said. “They're only made out of excrement.”
“What about the Huzards, or the rodents on the Promenade? Do you want them turning up to your little political rally too? Are you that desperate for votes?”
“No!” Seymour laughed, even though he knew his competition was tough. “Well maybe, you're on to something there. I could go for the minority vote.” He paused then chuckled. “Imagine it, me a champion of the lower classes, I can't think of anything funnier!”

They walked up the corridor to catch up with the others. Seymour looked like he was going to ask an important question. “So when it comes down to it, do I have your vote?” He said awkwardly.
