question

I am a bit slow and no I'm not blonde any way I was wondering how evil Phil could be around because if Phil the normal one is the only hologram that can be run by the ship how can evil Phil be on board Blue dwarf because if he's identical to Phil (Except personality) he should be running from blue dwarf. I'm a bit slow and somebodys probably sent this post already but I would like someone to tell me, prefrably in one sylable words that are easy to understand.
