Re: That tree is startin to think like Harris

Wildflower dropped the pile of leaves she was holding and stared at
Donover.
'Did he....ask me....to go...and....drink....with him in
a...public...place?' flashed the words across her mind.
'He did. he asked you for a drink.' she told herself, whilst
donover stood still in front of her awaiting a reply. She opened her
mouth to reply and then stopped.
'But you like "he that shall not be named because the idea is too
hideous to comprehend."' she told herself, 'What are you going to
do? You can't keep him waiting.' She looked at Donover's imploring
face and sighed inwardly.
'What harm could one drink do?' she asked herself.
"Sure," she said. "Why not, I'd be honoured to, though we really
had better make a start on these leaves."
Wildflower could see Donover's face brighten slightly and he picked
up a large pile of leaves. She hoped doctor 'he who could not be
named because of his temper and grouchiness and geenral lack of
caring towards me' would not see her. Then she remebered he was on
the away mission and felt slightly happier. And then she remebred
the cries from the beasts and began worrying again. 'But he was
tough and handsome, and brave, he would be fine.' she thought. 'But
there was report of a death, and what if one had sneaked up on him
and got him when he wasn't looking? Argh, what was she going to
do?' she frowned and began picking up the leaves.
From the safety of the room, Appendix A watched the emotions fly
across Wildflower's face and wondered why she was thinking such
thoughts about Keto.
